Hi-Tea at Cinnamon Coffee House of One World Hotel

It was a lovely beautiful Saturday when I was heading over to Cinnamon Coffee House to have hi-tea with my girlfriend. With over 200 offerings on the weekend hi-tea spread at the award-winning coffee house, located on the concourse level of One World Hotel Petaling Jaya.

Their new chef, Executive Chef Israel Lazaroo have brought in more varieties and more live-cooking stations which give an opportunity for the chefs to interact with us. The live-cooking stations such as the pasta counter, sandwich bar, local noodle section, Indian specialty kitchen, Japanese counter and dessert corner are now stationed with chefs attending our request. Customers are able to order as per their choice and selection of ingredients.

At this pasta corner, a variety of pastas and sauces are available to be cooked a-la-minute by the chef-in-attendance.

Next to the pasta counter is the offering of whole roast lamb. Marinated with our chefs’ special recipe and roast to perfection.

The chef behind the counter will slice the meat according to the portion requested.  

Customers can choose to have carrot cake, mee hoon siam, hokkien mee or mee hailam specially cooked by the available chef at this corner.

Likewise at the local noodle section, choice of Loh See Fun, Char Kway Teow and Mee Mamak are available, alongside one type of soup noodle such as Laksa Johor. Upon order, the chef will fry your choice of noodle a-la-minute as well.

There's also wide range dim sum, pao, nasi lemak and more to be found at the Cinnamon Coffee House.

In place of the hot chaffing dishes of the usual buffet line is a series of “live kitchens” – featuring an open kitchen concept which also includes a garden terrace for alfresco dining. Watch our talented chefs in action at the show and interactive kitchen – it’ll definitely be a feast for both your eyes and palate. A water feature surrounds the seating area which makes it a perfect ambience for a great meal.

From its extensive buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper menu, the restaurant also serves a myriad of irresistible delicacies from the a la carte menu. From starters and light fares, pastas, homemade soups, grills, local favourites to noodles and desserts, the a la carte menu will leave you spoilt for choice. Not forgetting the a la carte children’s menu which is bound to put a smile on your kids' face.

Apart from an assortment of sushi, there is also prawn or vegetable tempura to choose from.  Mochi coated with peanut or sesame seed, a Japanese dessert is another new introduction. More varieties are found at the Indian counter with a-la-minute Masala thosai and chutney freshly prepared by the chefs.  Roti Jala with dhall are also available.



Not to mention, the wide offering of appetisers, cheeses and salads.

End your meal with tempting cakes, local kuih, freshly cut fruits or try the Chocolate Fountain.  You can also DIY your own cendol and ice kacang while the chef prepares the a-la-minute crepes suzette or apam balik.
