New 2018 Perodua Myvi Launching this Nov 16, 2017

This week, Perodua has finally announced the all new 2018 Perodua Myvi. The Perodua Myvi is a B-segment car produced by Malaysian manufacturer Perodua since 2005 and is based on the Daihatsu Boon. Since the launch, Perodua Myvi has been one of the top selling car in Malaysia.

The Perodua Myvi will be launched on the 16th of November, 2017 and it will be ready for viewing; perhaps available for test drive as well. For those who are looking to purchase a new car this year, you can consider this model. Why did I say that? It's affordable and packed with great technology and safety. Most importantly that it's pleasing to the eye.

Just take a look at the leaked Perodua Myvi's brochure above. It looks like a continental hatchback but with a Perodua touch at the front bumper. The lowest specs variant is priced at RM44,300.00 excluding the car premium insurance amount and up to RM55,300 for the highest specs variant. There will be five (5) variant for this car just like the current Perodua Bezza and Perodua Alza. While Perodua Axia has six (6) variant.

Here is some of the specifications which are available for the new Perodua Myvi. There's a lot more additional features for the 1.5 litre variant. You may find it at the end of this post.

1.3 litre Dual VVT-i engine (1NR-VE) or 1.5 litre Dual VVT-i engine (2NR-VE)
Five-speed manual or four-speed E-AT
LED headlamps with auto off and follow-me-home functions
Headlight levelling
LED tail lamps with light guides
Reverse sensors
14-inch or 15-inch two tone alloy wheels
Keyless entry and start
Flexible 8+1 seating configurations
60:40 folding rear seats
Side pocket on front seat (for mobile phones)
Four airbags (dual front, front sides) or six airbags (+side curtains)
ABS, EBD
Electronic stability control (VSC)
Traction control (TRC)
Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
Five-year/150,000 km warranty
Target five-star ASEAN NCAP crash test rating

Perodua has set up a sneak peek booth for the new Myvi at the Malaysia Autoshow 2017 event in MAEPS, Serdang. Viewers are given a chance to take a glimpse of the rear, front and side of the car. Images credit to Perodua FB page.

Front view – it does have a slight similarity to the current Myvi design.

Back view – it reminds me of Nissan Grand Livina and the tail lights resemble some of the continental hatchback in the market.

Above is the picture of the new Perodua Myvi which has went viral on Facebook. What do you think? Do you like its new look? They decided not to reuse the Daihatsu Boon chasis and to use the Toyota Im instead. Hopefully it will be a lot more stable to drive on the road and better handling as well.

So are you excited or feeling meh? I definitely can't wait for it to be launched this coming 16th Nov.

Last year, I did a test drive review on Perodua Bezza and it has received a a lot of good responses from my readers. Do you want me to test drive the new Perodua Myvi after its launch? Do let me know in the comment section down below. Till then... have a nice weekend & stay safe! :)

.: Peace Out :.

    1. correction: If Livina got Myvi got a special version (say merdeka version) this year, then i would prefer than over bezza 2020!
