The Big Mouth @ Subang USJ 9

Last Sunday, I had a dinner at The Big Mouth which is located at Subang USJ 9 after watching X-men 1st Class at GSC Summit Subang. You can click on the link here to read about the review of the movie that I made and some comments regarding the cinema.

The outlet in Subang USJ 9.

The Big Mouth is located less than five minute drive from The Summit Subang USJ. The place is not very difficult to find although it is hidden in between the shop lots. I had this voucher which I can have a dinner set for free. The actual price was RM48.88 (round up is RM48.90). The dinner set includes a starter, a bowl of soup, one main dish either the Rib Eye or Fish and a dessert at the end after you have finished the main course. There's a 20% discount given for any accompanied person and I really think that it is a good deal. The portion of the food is not a lot but of course it is not enough for a big eater like me BUT the price is really affordable if to compare to other western cuisine cafe or restaurant.

The promotion that they are having right now.

As a starter, we had the Tri Crunch. It has the fresh crunch celery, carrot and cucumber in glass served with Andalouse sauce.

Next is the soup - Forest Shitake Cappucino. Creamy rich shitake mushroom soup accompanied with garlic stick. I don't see any garlic stick but it's actually already in the soup. Hokay…. It's really yummy though.

For the main dish, I have chosen the Rib Eye rather than the Fish since I don't really fancy fish unless it's a steamed fish in a Chinese restaurant. The Rib Eye is actually the char grilled rib eye steak with garlic butter glaze and serve with black pepper sauce. The meat is tender but I don't really like the tasteless and dry mash potatoes.

My ice peach tea.
Beside the main dish above, we also ordered an Olio Seafood Pasta which cost RM12.50. The pasta is spicy, contained a lot of olive and the prawn and mussels are fresh enough to me BUT the pasta itself is too dry. Maybe they didn't put enough butter or olive oil in it.
My date possing with the Chocolate Volcano.

For dessert, we had Chocolate Volcano, a central melt chocolate cake serve with a scoop of ice cream. This is a must try! Really good and must be eaten when it's still hot!

Mango Mille Crepe.

We also ordered another dessert which is the Mango Mille Crepe. I think this shop is the forth place which I know that sell Mille Crepe after the Food Foundry, The Humble Beginning, RT Pastry House and also the Nadeje which is located in Malacca. The taste is ok but not the best, I'll probably will give 5/10 for this one. Oh by the way, this Mango Mille Crepe cost RM7.50. The price is cheaper than the one at Nadeje.

The ambience of The Big Mouth is just like any other food cafe that you can find in KL. They only have around 8 tables inside the premise and I think during dinner time on a weekend it is mostly full. I believe I will be visiting this place again if I'm around USJ next time. There's no government tax or service charges added on the bill. :)
