Hoofed at Taman Tun Dr Ismail

It was Thursday night, wet and the traffic on the road was terrifically jam. It's a norm living in a big city to have traffic congestion during peak hours and it just get worst when the rain starts pouring. It's a total different lifestyle when you are staying out of the city or even in a small town, you will just stay at home to watch television to avoid going outside of the house.

Anyway, despite the rain, traffic congestion, frustration and busy lifestyle, there's always a place in the city that people from different interest or generation can drop by to chill or event to have a good dinner with family and friends. In this entry, I would like to talk about a place called Hoofed which emphasize on alcoholic drinks such as cocktail, wine and beer at the same time they provide a very good sensational pork dishes to satisfy every needs of a customer. On the 20th of October, 2011 I was being invited to the Cocktail Moment where they launch three special cocktails designed exclusively for Hoofed.

Hoofed, strategically located at Taman Tun Dr Ismal, which is just right above Tom, Dick & Harry's. The underground cellar holds a very creative tagline of "Wine, Dine and Swine with us" is definitely ear catching.

The staircase up to Hoofed filled with flying pigs on the wall along the staircase...

Chong Yi Shawn, a very familiar face here in Hoofed, and an even more familiar face in the world at World Class Bartending, has specially concocted these 3 exclusive cocktails to compliment that ‘Hoofed moment’. Malaysia’s very own mix master who is the current Diageo World Class Malaysian champion will be gracing the cocktail moments events so that you will be Hoofed! For sure!

Every drinks were skillfully made by Yi Shawn.

Our first drink of the night was the White Lady, a mixture of Tanqueray Gin, Triple Sec Sugar Syrup and lemon juice. Something really soothing and great as a starter drink before the meal.

Next we had Lommy’s Margarita which consist the Don Jullo Reposado Tequilla, Agave Nectar and Lime Juice. This is my personal favorite and it's good drink when you are having a heavy meal. Something to clear the throat down with.

Last but not least, we had the A Single Smooth Whisper, a mixture of Singleton, Maple syrup coffee and cream. This dessert cocktail reminds me of Bailey and I think most girls would prefer this.

I'm done with the three special cocktails designed exclusively for Hoofed so now let's talk about the most recommended food that we can have there. First of all, we had the Bacon Fried Rice RM19.60.

If you are a Bacon or in Chinese 'lap cheong' lover, you would like the taste of this fried rice. Simply delicious!

Then we had this Roast Pork Belly (RM17.90).
The texture of the meat is very soft and it melts in my mouth. Pork lover must try this!!!

Can you handle the awesomeness of this pork belly???

This Roasted Suckling Pig (full) RM170, (half) RM90 catches my attention the most!
Normally I only had roasted suckling pick in some really typical Chinese restaurant but I would give some credits for this.

The roasted pig head! (^oo^)

The skin was crispy and music started coming out of my mouth in every single bite... I know I might be a little exaggerated but that's how I can express my feelings at that moment!

Two of us can finish half of the suckling pig! The juiciness & tenderness till the very last bite! :)
I'm 100% sure that I will come back for this...

The interior is designed with wooden wall, tables and bricks ceiling.

Wine anyone?

Hoofed is fit for any functions such as private party, product launch, etc...

The crowd at Hoofed was surprisingly good even on a raining weekday...

Last but not least, a photo with the friendly bosses. Thanks to Ivy for the invite :)
