Battleship (2012) Movie Review

Have you guys watched Battleship yet? Not too long ago, I've watched this sci-fi action movie in 2D at Golden Screen Cinema, 1Utama. I booked the tickets almost a week earlier and it was a Wednesday so the tickets were cheaper almost by half.

Director: Peter Berg
Writers: Erich Hoeber, Jon Hoeber
Stars: Taylor Kitsch, Alexander SkarsgÄrd, Brooklyn Decker and Liam Neeson

Sinopsis
Based on the classic Hasbro naval combat game, Battleship is the story of an international fleet of ships who come across an alien armada whilst on a Naval war games exercise. An intense battle ensues over sea, land and air. A fleet of ships is forced to do battle with an armada of unknown origins in order to discover and thwart their destructive goals. What do they aliens - known as 'The Regents' - want?

Taylor Kitsch boards Battleship movie.
In this movie, from what I can see is that it wasn't actually based on the classic Hasbro naval combat game (the board game) at all. Somehow it felt like it because of one particular scene but firing canon towards the alien wasn't part of the game.

In order for them to prevent the aliens to send signal for other aliens to come, they have to use the classic destroyer and fire everything they got.

In this movie, Rihanna plays the role as Raikes. Here character is quite important but you need to watch it yourself.

My Conclusion: If you like Transformers-like movie, this is the movie for you. No mind boggling scene but pure sci-fi action with a lot of bombing and explosion effects. Anyhow, the alien looks as if they weren't prepared to invade the earth at all. The big looking 'powderful' ship was kind of useless through out the movie. This movie is suitable for all age group although it's rated as PG-13. Rating 3.5/5

For you guys who have not watched it, you can still catch it in 2D or normal screen the local Golden Screen Cinema.

.: Peace Out :.
