Glenmorangie's SOUNDFORM Fluid Showcase @ The Gardens

If you had read my previous blog entry about the Orange Retro Funk and the Glenmorangie story, I'm hundred percent sure that you are no longer unfamiliar with this particular single malt scotch whiskey brand anymore. As for this entry, I wanted to share with you about my experience at the Glenmorangie's SOUNDFORM Fluid Showcase which I had mentioned before in my previous post which is the Glenmorangie story.

The event was happening at The Gardens Mall in Midvalley, the SOUNDFORM Fluid is a stunning, sculptural bar that brings to life the ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’ philosophy advocated by Glenmorangie.

Officially unveiled on the 21st of April 2012, the SOUNDFORM Fluid bar was designed by renowned architect and interior designer Philip Michael Wolfson for Glenmorangie, and it was inspired by the sonograph reading of the sound of Glenmorangie whisky being poured into a crystal glass. Complementing the stunning display was commentary by Glenmorangie Malaysia’s Brand Manager, Michael Tan, who explained the concept that sparked the creation of the ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’ SOUNDFORM Fluid bar.

Above is the Glenmorangie's Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey - The Original which was also served to the guest at the showcase. Glenmorangie single malt whisky obtains its multi-layered aromas and kaleidoscopic flavours through maturation in fine oak casks, obtained from the Ozark Mountains. While there are many perfectly good single malt whiskies matured in casks that are re-used up to eight times, Glenmorangie goes the extra mile for that added elegance in its whisky by only ever using their casks twice. At its Tain distillery in the Scottish Highlands, Glenmorangie employs the tallest whisky stills in Scotland, ensuring only the purest vapours are used in the spirit.

A picture of myself and my guest before we proceed to the rest of the showcase that evening. The invite requires me to bring a guest and so this was the only picture which I was forced to be taken... nahhh... I was kidding! Hehe... :P

Joey G who has started his career as an entertainment VJ, was the emcee for the evening introducing the SOUNDFORM Fluid Showcase to us and told us about some of the story about it and Glenmorangie. Then after it followed by some quizes whereby three winners have walked away with a Glenmorangie's exclusive iPad cover.

A picture of 'le gf with the DJ duo Manufactured Superstars, before entertaining us at the turntable during the after party at Vertigo.

Love their shoes! Puma, one of my favorite brand after Nike and Pony :)

Haven't start drinking, somebody already turned into a Spiderwoman. So cute leh! :P

This was actually the best part of the showcase that evening, the informal Glenmorangie whisky tasting session by their very own ambassador, Mr Ben Ng.

I prefer the Lasanta the most but The Astar was actually not too bad although it's a bit too strong still, it taste better than The Original one.

A photo before entering Vertigo for the Glenmorangie's after partayyyyyy! :D

More to drink! DRINK ALL THE GLENMORANGIE!

Some local dudes on the turntable, wasn't that good until towards the end before the Americans DJ come out.

Trying out the slow shuttle speed function on my Canon Powershot G9. Not bad right? :)

The showcase saw celebrities and single malt aficionados enjoy a night of appreciation as they savoured the ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’. The US DJ duo Manufactured Superstars, supplied a steady flow of house, dance and electro pop into the night.

We left around 12.30am, didn't drive in case there's traffic police doing some operations during midnight. Overall, I had a good time with fellow friends and partner at the after party.

.: Peace out :.
