Petite Millie @ 1Utama Shopping Center

They said, the best thing in life is not money but it's good food and best with a couple of good company. That's why when there's a victory or achievement in something, there's always a big feast with plenty of close people invited. Do you agree? Hence, that's what the peeps in Petite Millie believes. Petite Millie is an extension of the flagship restaurant Millesime located in Menara Kencana Petroleum in the Solaris Dutamas area. Opened not too long, The Petite Millie name bears the meaning ‘Little Millesime’ and is based on the modern European casual dining, reminiscent of but not confined by the French brasserie dining concept.

Bourguignonne Style Beef Bavette (RM46.50)

The Bourguignonne Style Beef Bavette is one of their favorite main course among the customers. On the dish is the tender Angus Flank of Beef Braised with Shallot, Mushroom and Demi Glace. I personally recommend this dish to those who love their Angus beef to be nicely braised and juicy in every single bite. Though the portion might be a little too small but this is why people will always crave for this kind of dish instead of having a big piece of beef steak that is just for the sake of filling one's stomach.

Emilia's Tagliatelle al Duck Ragu (RM28.50)

As I was drafting for this blog post, my stomach was growling when I looked at the picture. This dish consist of Two Duck Preparation, Pesto sauce which had the touch of consists of the crushed garlic, basil, and European pine nuts blended with olive oil and cheese, Oregano for a little minty taste and some crispy Breadcrumbs!

Avocado and Crab...c'est une boone vie! (RM19.50)

The next dish is one of their unique "Tarte Flambee", their very own version of a hot baked tart with Creme Fraiche. The one which you saw above has the Fragrant Tyme, Lemon Oil, Chive and Crab Meat Salad with Avocado. I like to have crab and avocado but never ate both together and this was a pretty good food experience for me. Just one thing, I would prefer the avocado to be sliced into smaller piece and to spread evenly on top of it so that I can enjoy both crab and avocado together in every single bite!

Iberian Beef Cecina (RM19.50)

Filled with slices of Air Dried Beef Loin, which looks like bacon but doesn't crisp but instead it has the chewy taste and Capsicum Concasee, which means various type of Capsicum spread on top of the hot baked tart.

Very Atas One! (RM26)

Thinly Sliced of Beef, Blue Cheese Crumbs with Caramelized Onions.

Poutine Cheek...and its deadly (RM26)

Why is it deadly? It's simple, 6 hours of Braised Beef Cheek, Freshly Ground Pepper and Truffle Oil.

Provencale Root Vegetables and Borlotti Bean (RM12.50)

Roasted Leek and Potato Veloute (RM12.50)

Luv a Duck (RM23.50)

I ordered the Monkey in the Tropics (RM14), taste like soy milkshake.

For those who want to have dessert after a good meal, below are some of the dessert selections offered at Petite Mille.

Apple Crumble (RM16.90)

Millie Mascarpone... wow! (RM16)

Banana Cheesecake

Panna Cotta (RM16)

Good enough to cater individuals or groups of people.

Currently they have a Happy Tea Time slot ongoing daily. It's from 3-6pm where if you dine in and order one tart flambee or dessert, there would be free flow of fresh brewed coffee/english tea.

Open daily from 10am until 10pm.

Overall, the food is good, if the portion for the main course can be slightly bigger then I might consider coming back on weekly basis. Some might not be able to handle the 'kaw' taste of the blue cheese for the Very Atas One including myself. The price on the menu also quite atas one. Ambience is quite nice, warm and they provide a squarish 'thing' on the floor for the ladies handbag which is a plus point. If your boss is loaded and have plenty to spend, then you should organize a simple company lunch or dinner here.

Last but not least, a picture to end this entry.

Tiene un bigote bien, señorita!
