Ramadan Buffet @ Rajang Hall, GTower (Food Review)

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is coming this August and as always, the month of Ramadan is never to be missed by our Muslim friends. I was invited for a Ramadan buffet review at Rajang Hall, GTower. Last year, I was also invited for the Ramadan buffet review but it took place at The Lounge. You can read about the review at the link here.

Chef serving the guest with Roast Lamb Shoulder will be served with Arabic Rice
The arrival of the holy month of Ramadan indicates the onset of the season of fasting, observance & generous festivities. After one whole day of fasting, there’s nothing better to treating yourself & your family to a sumptuous delicacies at the GTower. This year marks the third year of GTower in organizing its Ramadan Buffet . Lets take a look what's the variety of dishes offered after the jump break.

Their celebrity chef, Chef Johnny Fua and his team will be preparing tantalizing halal local delicacies for this Ramadhan period. The Ramadhan Buffet is generous in spread and variety from appetizers ranging from Cold and Hot appetizers to begin with such as Kerabu Perut, Penang Pasembor, Kerabu Jantung Pisang and the “must-have” sambal belacan.

Chicken satay or beef satay anyone?
At their soup counter, they offer array of homemade artisan breads & butter with Oxtail Soup and Bubur Lambuk. I've tried their Bubur Lambuk, it's one of the best that I've ever tasted. The texture was right for me and the taste was not too salty for my liking.

Assorted ulam for those who love their fresh vegetables dipped in the spicy hot belacan.

Mee Jawa and Condiment
A few counters are also open for diners to choose from the local delights section that would surely titillate your taste buds such as Mee Jawa, Satay and Roast Baked Snapper. Lamb lovers will definitely look forward to the main carving where Roast Lamb Shoulder will be served with Arabic Rice as seen on the first picture of this post above.

There are a few choices from the main counter such as Nasi Hujan Panas, Aloo Ghopi, Pau Goreng Berlada, Sambal Udang with Scallops, Dalca Kambing and many more. Dishes will be different from time to time so it's best to contact them to find out what they will be serving on the a particular day.

Last but not least, even after having so much food one must never resist their dessert. Variety dessert served in this Ramadan Buffet such as Cendol Banana & Orange Triffle, Pengat Labu and Sagu, Rojak Buah and Assorted Kuih and assorted fruits. Sweet tooth person like me will be delighted by the mouth-watering French pastries!

Pastries and nasi lemang.
Their breads were pretty good as well, it's soft on the inside and good to go just with butter on it.

Some of the dessert that I managed to take, half of it had already gone. Seems like the bloggers and media were having quite an appetite.

One of my favorite dish that I won't miss during a Ramadan Buffet is satay!!!

Beef & Chicken Satay with Kuah Kacang
Although they do not have a very wide range of dishes from other cuisine such as sushi, seafood, chinese or western food but it is more focused on some of the authentic Malay cuisine dishes. If you're interested to go for this Ramadan Buffet feast this coming July, details are included at the bottom of this blog post.
