Recently, BlackBerry has announced that the new BlackBerry® Q5 smartphone is available in Malaysia beginning July 15, 2013 with a recommended retail price of RM1,299. The unveiling took place at Blackbox, Publika and it's their third device to run the BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system after Z10 and Q10.

Available in three colours - Black, Pure White and Pure Red - the BlackBerry Q5 smartphone offers a powerful and unique mobile computing experience with its cutting-edge BlackBerry® 10 functionality.

The size of this device is identical to Q10, no glass-weave and soft touch coating at the back cover, slightly higher battery life - only 80mAh more, processor is Dual core, 1200 MHz - 300 MHz lesser than Q10, slightly lighter, 8GB internal memory and only have 5 megapixel camera instead of 8 megapixel in Q10. Overall, I still think those who want to own a device with BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system but can't afford Q10 and dislike the fully touch screen phone on Z10 - this is the right smartphone for you.
You might not want this if you prefer to have awesome gaming application, Instagram application, better smartphone picture quality or good video quality playback. If those are not your problem then this is a recommended phone for those who still prefer typing their messages or email with physical keypads.
