Kick-Ass 2 (Movie Review)

Back in 2010, I watched Kick-Ass after the Project Alpha Season 2 launch at e@curve.
This movie is briefly about a costumed high-school hero Kick-Ass joins with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume. Meanwhile, The Mother F%&*^r  (previously Red Mist) plots an act of revenge that will affect everyone Kick-Ass knows.

Storyline:
After Kick-Ass' insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes, our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist -- reborn as The Mother F%&*^r -- only the blade-wielding Hit Girl can prevent their annihilation. When we last saw junior assassin Hit Girl and young vigilante Kick-Ass, they were trying to live as normal teenagers Mindy and Dave. With graduation looming and uncertain what to do, Dave decides to start the world's first superhero team with Mindy. Unfortunately, when Mindy is busted for sneaking out as Hit Girl, she's forced to retire-leaving her to navigate the terrifying world of high-school mean girls on her own. I personally like the first movie so I kinda have a higher expectation on this sequel. Sadly, it was below my expectation. There wasn't any fighting / funny scene that I could remember apart from Mother Russia's solo attack on the cops - she's a genuine badass who enjoys Frappuccino!!! If you think Jim Carrey (who played the role of Colonel Stars and Stripes) will be funny in this movie, you will definitely be disappointed. Kick-Ass who was trained by Hit Girl didn't really get to show how good he had become in the fights, same goes to Hit Girl. I couldn't really enjoy this movie thanks to the inconsistent of censorship done by FINAS. As I remembered, there wasn't any censorship during the screening of the first movie.

Conclusion: It's alright not to watch the first movie since everything is kind of being explained in this movie. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend any of you to watch this movie at cinema due to the censorship but if you do enjoy some gruesome actions by teen superheroes then you probably want to give it a try.

Cut scene: Knife/sword stabbing and some intimacy scene.

After credits scene: Yes (I missed it cause I left the cinema hall early but I think there might be another sequel).
