GIVEAWAY: Slide the City Malaysia!!!

Slide the City is coming to Malaysia!!! I don’t know about you, but I am super excited! 

For those of you who don’t know what Slide the City is, come out from under your rock because it’s time to educate yourselves! Slide the City is a 1,000ft slip n’ slide that is held in the city itself, whereby sliders will slap on their sunscreen, and grab their swimsuits to speed down the massive three-lane slide for the slide of their lives!



1,000 feet is quite a massive slide, and I am really looking forward to going for a fun day in the sun. Apart from that, there will also be food trucks, game booths, and music to make that experience much more sweeter. For the very first time in Malaysia, Slide the City will be on 5th and 6th of December at Lebuh Wadi Ehsan, Putrajaya.

I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Leong Delon, CEO and Founder of Monkey Theory Sdn Bhd, who is also the person who brought Slide the City in to Malaysia. For me, I wanted more to see what he was thinking of when he thought to bring Slide the City to Malaysia.

Who is Leong Delon?
He is the CEO of Monkey Theory, and unlike others in his class, he dropped out after only a year in university to help his mother as they were facing financial difficulties. It has not been an easy journey for him as he has to take care of his family and subsequently went to help out his mother in a Sawmill. However, he wasn’t satisfied, so began thinking of ideas on how to start his own business. In 2012, he founded Dusty Monkeys with co-founder Desmond Yong, and it has been only uphill from there.

With any start up, challenges are bound to appear.

And with any company, funding was the biggest challenge when they first started out. As a start-up, any company will have zero track record so it was natural for any company to work extra hard to get the funding they needed.

It is very impressive how far they’ve come, and they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
One thing struck me when I was speaking to Delon. It’s his never-say-die attitude, and willpower to never give up. And it is with this attitude that got him to where he is today. It’s really quite inspiring.
