Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats Improve Heart Health and Reduce Cholesterol

On the 24th of May, I was at the One World Hotel in Bandar Utama for the launch event of Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats. We are so pampered by the variety of food in Malaysia all thanks to our multicultural identity and some of these foods can lead to heart diseases if we did not control the intake. Now we can power up our hearts with Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats; the first-in-market combined action of two naturally-derived cholesterol-lowering ingredients, Acticol ® and Beta-glucan.

From L-R: Model, Cher Siew Wei (Corporate Wellness Manager, Nestlé Malaysia), Khoo Kar Khoon (Communication Director, Nestlé Malaysia), Ng Su Yen (Business Executive Manager, Milks, Nestlé Malaysia), Chew Soi Ping (Executive Director, Sales, Nestlé Malaysia), Chris Chan (Consumer Marketing Manager, Nestlé Malaysia), Alesha Mah (Brand Manager, Nestlé Malaysia), Evelyn Yoong (Innovation and Renovation Manager, Nestlé Malaysia) & model.
It was scientifically proven that only Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats has Acticol® which is naturally derived from plant sterols can block cholesterol from entering the bloodstream. It works simultaneously with Beta-glucan from oats that binds with cholesterol in the gut and removes it from the body.

In order to manage our cholesterol levels effectively, we need the dual-action of blocking and removing cholesterol, or “The Power of Two” from the Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats, compared to the consumption of oats alone.

Gary Yap, who is well known for hosting the 8TV’s popular food hunting show Ho Chak, together with Siew Wei, shared some health tips in associated with the Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats
Most of us especially those young adults did not take consider preventative heart care as one of the health priority, as heart disease is usually perceived as an illness that affects the elderly. However, research has proven otherwise, showing that Malaysians in their thirties have arteries akin to those in their seventies due to their lifestyles.

Ng Su Yen (Business Executive Manager, Milks, Nestlé Malaysia)
As a conclusion, we Malaysians are succumbing to heart disease at a younger age. Nevertheless, this need not be the case.  Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats now provides Malaysians with a consistent and pro-active solution to power up a holistic heart health management routine. “With a fast-paced lifestyle and a strong food culture, more and more Malaysians are developing unhealthy habits which ultimately lead to cardiovascular issues,” said Ng Su Yen, Business Executive Manager, Milks of Nestlé Malaysia.

“Small lifestyle changes such as getting regular exercise and eating a heart-healthy diet complimented by two servings of delicious Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats a day can improve the quality of life for those at risk. With this new product, we want to help Malaysians make effortless adjustments to their everyday routines for better overall health. As an advocate of heart health, we want to empower Malaysians to take consistent and pro-active steps to ensure a wholesome and worry-free long life,” she added.

After the launch, guest are invited to participate the games and cholesterol level screening which has been prepared.

Trying my shooting skill, I managed to shot 3 'cholesterol devils' out of 4 attempt!
There were a total of 4 games. Guest was only required to complete 2 out 4 games and get their blood tested for cholesterol level in order to bring home a goody bag.

Aside from that, there's ring toss game and magnetic fishing game as well.

After completing 2 games, I went to for the cholesterol level check. If our cholesterol level is less than 5.2 mmol/L, that is reassuring. Unless you have other risk factors, such as a family history of heart disease, low HDL cholesterol, high blood pressure, cigarette smoking or diabetes mellitus, your risk of heart attack is relatively low. Mine was 4.6! Yay... Although it's good news for me but it is recommended to continue my work out routine as frequent as possible and to drink Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats twice a day.

Nestlé Omega Plus® Milk with Oats comes in convenient single serve sachets – consuming the recommended two servings per day becomes effortless as you can slip the sachets into your work or gym bag and have it anytime of the day. Simply add 200ml of hot water and stir and it's ready to be served. It's definitely going to be my favorite drink for breakfast and for tea break as well.
