CITTA Mall’s Upcoming New Year Countdown Party – 16 Going On 17!

Last Thursday, I was invited to a media preview night of an upcoming new year countdown party, "16 Going on 17!" at Citta Mall. Although 2016 can be quite a tough year for some Malaysian especially with the rising cost of living and also the weak ringgit currency but it's finally the time to end the year with a bang as we welcome 2017 with our arms high in the air!

There's going to be fireworks display at CITTA Mall on New Years Eve that serves as a reminder that despite all the hardships we’ve endured and obstacles we’ve faced, there are still beautiful moments in life worth pausing for. This year, the new year countdown party at CITTA Mall will be featuring some of our local celebrities, An Honest Mistake, Baki Zainal, Dina Nadzir, Alvin Lee and Rejuvenate Dance Crew.

During the media preview night, CITTA Mall offered a sneak preview of what’s to come for their New Year Countdown Party, themed “16 Going On 17!” Guests were entreated to dinner and relished in the opportunity to makan-and-mingle with celebrities who will be performing on New Year’s Eve.

Dinner was generously sponsored by Mr. Dakgalbi, and guests happily mowed down the Tteokbokki in addition to the light and easy fare offered by another tenant in the mall, Flicker’s Diner.

This is one of my favorite dish that night, look at how high the cheese can be pulled up! Yummy! :D

There's also Pickle and Kimchi offered during the dinner.

To all those partygoers who plan on coming to CITTA Mall on the 31st, the festivities will start at 8:00pm, though performances will not begin till 9:00pm. A mini-carnival will be set-up within the mall, and shoppers will be able to participate in the CITTA Challenge that is available from 30 December 2016 to 1 January 2017. There will be game stations set up and participants will be required complete all stations before they are able to spin a wheel to win great prizes, including electronic appliances from Harvey Norman.

Based on the response from previous years, visitors are advised to arrive by 8:00pm to avoid large traffic and to secure better parking spots as once the pre-show starts at 9:00pm, a crowd may have already amassed at the outdoor parking lot. The main show will begin at 10:00pm, and this is where the headliners will be performing all the way through till midnight, where the night will end with the fireworks display lighting up the night sky.
