Lavender Inn at Nusa Bestari, Johor Bahru (Hotel Review)

Last year around May, I visited Johor Bahru for the May The 4th Be With You, a Star Wars event at Legoland Malaysia Resort. I was attending as a blogger media but since my accommodation wasn't provided so I decided to stay at a random hotel I can find nearby.

It was almost midnight when I reached Johor Bahru. I immediately look for a place to stay for the night. Initially I wanted to settled in a cheap hostel since I am just going sleep for a few hours and to take a bath before I leave in the morning but unfortunately all the hostel reception counter were closed at night. So I decided to find a cheap hotel to stay in. A few moment later, I found a place which is called the Lavender Inn.

I was glad that their single room was still available and the price of the room was only RM70. For members, it is slightly cheaper. I totally forgot to ask about the membership since I was too tired from the trip. Anyway, RM70 seems ok to me.

So here's a quick look on the single room. Nothing fancy, except for the glass wall and door bathroom.

All the basic necessities are there but I would prefer to have the shower are to be in a separate section away from the toilet bowl. There's the usual TV with local and Singapore channel in it, air-condition and slow WiFi. No fridge to chill our food and drinks.

Overall, this hotel is alright. Like I mentioned earlier, nothing fancy. It's affordable and good for one or two nights stay but if you are a DiGi telco user like myself, you might want to avoid this. Super bad phone reception! :(

The prices are lower if you book via hotel booking sites such as Agoda or Booking.com. It's about RM63 for the single bedroom instead of the normal price RM70. While the Deluxe Family Room is only about RM104. That's quite a steal I must say.
