The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League MYSG Playoffs at 1 Utama

I have started playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang actively since late last year. For those who are familiar of the game, it is a 5 vs 5 multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game designed for mobile phones. The two opposing teams fight to reach and destroy the enemy's base while defending their own base for control of there different paths which connects the bases.

The MPL MYSG Playoffs will be held from 13-15 April at 1 Utama Ground Floor – Highstreet Concourse

The first ever Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) for Malaysia and Singapore is coming to a close. By the end of the 3-day playoffs event which will be happening on Sunday evening, they will crown a champion who will take home the grand prize of US$25,000 and an additional US$5,907 from community funding via limited event item purchases.

MPL Ambassador Chuan is spotted at the media event. Chuan is a well-known Malaysian professional Dota 2 player and is currently playing for Echo International.

The MPL has been a successful journey for both its competitors and Mobile Legend fans. Its league format has given a chance for these mobile eSport players to not only earn money through winnings, but gain experience of being part of a eSport platform that Moonton and EGG Network has provided.

With the recent acquiry of Team Saiyan (currently known as AirAsia Saiyan) by AirAsia announced by Tony Fernandes himself, it seems that mobile gaming in Malaysia especially Mobile Legends will definitely earn higher popularity and exposure through out the nation.

eSports talents have emerged through the MPL with the support of fans. The all-star team was selected through the vote of fans to recognize the top five players based on their positions. AirAsia Saiyan has been a clear favourite throughout the MPL, with three of them taking a seat in the all-star team voting.

Meanwhile, the mvp for MPL goes to Fredo of AirAsia Saiyan, besting the other 4 candidates from Tyrants, AirAsia Saiyan, and 2 from IDNS SG. If you are a fan of Mobile Legends, I would recommend you to drop by 1 Utama from 13th to 15th April to watch the matches live and also to participate in some of the fun activities that they have prepared at the event.
