BYD Dolphin Price in Malaysia Revealed! Two Variants Available

Following the launch of BYD Atto 3 back in December last year, the BYD Dolphin is the next in line to launch in Malaysia. This EV hatchback will be launch on July 27 but its price has been revealed at midnight.

I predicted the price will start from RM110,000 for the base variant (Dynamic Standard) and since our government has kept the EV car import rules stating there will not be a low priced electric vehicle, from other countries that will be priced below RM100,000.

This BYD Dolphin will be the second cheapest EV car after the Neta V which honestly speaking is even more kosong than the base automatic variant of Perodua Axia.

Anyway, the prices have been revealed and it's... less than 100k before fees and insurance. RM99,900 to be exact. That more than 10k lesser than my prediction. In comparison, the BYD Atto 3 starts at RM 149,800 for base variant. Almost 50k in price difference! You can use the savings to buy the top variant of Perodua Axia! Hahaha...

0-100 km/h in 7.0s for the Premium Extended variant. Definitely can "smoke" those Honda City and Toyota Vios, hopefully our king Myvi too.

Do check out the video review below from our neighbouring country, Singapore.

So what do you think about this car? Do you think it's a good buy at around 100k? Do let me know your thoughts in the comment section down below.

  1. It’s so exciting to see more affordable electric vehicles hitting the market, and the fact that the Dolphin is priced at less than 100k before fees and insurance is like a cherry on top! 🍒💸

I totally agree with you, the price difference between the Dolphin and the Atto 3 is mind-boggling! 😱 It’s like getting a fantastic deal and having extra cash to splurge on the top variant of the Perodua Axia. Now that’s what I call a win-win situation! 💃💰

  2. And can we talk about the performance? 0-100 km/h in just 7.0 seconds for the Premium Extended variant? 🏎️💨 That’s seriously impressive! I can already imagine leaving those Honda City, Toyota Vios, and even our beloved Myvi in the dust! 😄
