Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Media Launch @ KLPAC

The other day I went to Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) at Sentul, Kuala Lumpur for the media launch of the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 - Being a gadget enthusiast especially mobile phone, I am more likely to be excited by the high performance mobile phones produced by Samsung.

Although Samsung has already came out with the 10" Tab which can't make calls besides doing anything capable like the Apple iPad, the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 is just like an upgrade and oversized mobile phone screen from the predecessor, Samsung GALAXY Note.

After a light meal for breakfast, we are then being ushered into the launch area and around 10am, there was the opening remarks by the emcee.

Product introduction and demonstration by Victor Ng and Colin Hew - Product Managers of Samsung Malaysia Electronics

Victor Ng talks more about the features on the S Note while Colin Hew touched on the new built in application which is the Adobe Photoshop Touch.

I'm pretty sure this apps is perhaps the most wanted for photographers & editor like me. This will be great for instagramers too! Don't like whoever that photo-bombed your picture, just stamp it out!

After the speeches and the group photo session, we are then being ushered to the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 experiential zone to try out some of the new features of the gadget.

After the experiential zone session, we are then ushered into the hall again for the media Q&A session.

Here's some of the things you need to know about the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1:-

It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice-cream Sandwich) - not too bad but I hope it can be upgraded.

The screen is 10.1 WXGA (1280x800) LCD - SGSIII's screen better

Comes with the S Pen / S Note - you can go paperless after this!

1.4Ghz Exynos Quad-Core Processor - It's fast but the names of the processor in Android phones are just too many to be remembered.

5MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera - technically better than my current mobile phone camera.

Retail price: RM2,199.00

For the rest of the specifications, you can just do the 'Google' thing on your web browser :P

After the media launch, all of us get to have a good lunch buffet to fill up our stomach. That's not all, we also get to leave KLPAC with a goodie bag each. Yes, we bloggers tend to get a lot of FREE stuff but we never ask for it. They all are so kind to offer us. Like the Malay saying,"Rezeki jangan ditolak".

I probably will use this Samsung Stereo Headset for my video recording.
