MasterChef Australia's Amina El Shafei Live In KL!

Hey guys, I am sure some of you might have watched and heard about the Masterchef Australia. Currently they are at Season 5 but one of the contestant, MasterChef Australia's Amina El Shafei from Season 4 MasterChef Australia is in Malaysia to meet her fans!

Amina, who is a Nurse from New South Wales is blessed with culinary expertise that originates from two different parts of the world - the Middle East and Asia - thanks to her Egyptian dad and South Korean mum. Close to both her parents, but a self-confessed “Daddy’s girl”, Amina lives with her younger sister Eman, with whom she would one day love to own a funky but traditional Middle Eastern mezze restaurant.

Yesterday, a few bloggers and myself were fortunate to have met Amina in person and we did a marketing session with her before the meet & greet session later tonight. The LIVE demo is open to public at Mid Valley Megamall, Centre Court, from 8.00 till 8.30 tonight. So if you are around the mall, do come by and check out the live demo.

Amina was really excited to shop at Ben's Independent Grocer (B.I.G.) in Publika and she has a very friendly and bubbly character. A sneak peak, she'll be cooking nasi goreng at the live demo due to the limited time given to her.

Picking some red hot chili for her recipe. I know some of us who have been used to having spicy food would probably opted for chili padi instead :P

Got all her vege and sauce, it's time to pick the main ingredient for her fried rice - chicken.

Although it was a short marketing session with Amina but we managed to learn how to use some of the products in our cooking.
