Grown Ups 2 (Movie Review)

Last Thursday, I went to the press screening of Grown Ups 2 to at GSC Midvalley thanks to Klips. I have always been a fan of Adam Sandler's movie especially The Longest Yard, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and You Don't Mess with the Zohan. The prequel, Grown Ups was alright and so do read my full review on Grown Ups 2.

Director: Dennis Dugan
Writers: Fred Wolf, Adam Sandler
Stars: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock

Team Jacob joined in the party! LOL
Storyline:
After having the greatest time of his life three summers ago, Lenny (Adam Sandler), decides he wants to move his family back to his hometown and have them grow up with his gang of childhood friends and their kids. But between old bullies, new bullies, schizophrenic bus drivers, drunk cops on skis, psycho grade school girlfriends and 400 costumed party crashes he finds out that sometimes crazy follows you.

Knowingly a typical Adam Sandler style in making fun of friends and foes around him. This time round he moved back to where he was born with his wife and kids. Through out the movie, there were more disgusting jokes than the first movie. Somehow this movie didn't really flow well as we don't really know what's the direction that they were heading and suddenly Lenny (Adam Sandler) has decided to throw a party at his place without agreeing to it at the beginning. I was quite shocked with the appearance of Steve Austin (WWE's Stone Cold) who have also played as a warden in The Longest Yard. This movie has a lot more scene about their kids that made it messier and it felt kinda useless.

Conclusion: I prefer the first movie, Grown Ups 2 is forgetable and sadly this is not a movie for all age. I am sure this movie can't even fit for teenagers as well with the amount of cleavage shown. It's still funny but probably lack of new ideas/jokes and maybe Rob Schneider :P

Cut scene: Some intimate scene and jumping naked from the cliff.

After credits scene: Nil

Rating: 2 / 5
