PUMA Malaysia Continues Future Retro Cool with the RS-0 Play

Earlier this month, I attended the PUMA RS-0 Play Activation event in Pavilion Shopping Mall, KL.  In partnership with JD Sports, the RS-0 Play Activation was held in a highly immersive setup whereby the event space was transformed into an exhilarating gaming zone, whereby participants flaunted their skills in customised dart machine, air hockey, as well as PS4 gaming.

The PUMA RS-0 comes in three colour variants

Air hockey table

Customised dart machine

PS4 gaming featuring TEKKEN 7 and Street Fighter V

Featuring an all-new silhouette, the RS-0 range has a futuristic look that greatly resembles the past. Inspired by 1980s video games, PUMA introduces the RS-0 PLAY which is a fun pack playing with colour pops and translucent details.

Four PUMA Friends – local rapper Aman RA, former Miss Universe Malaysia Vanessa Tevi, social media influencer Jason Goh and B-Boy dancer Khenobu, were all present at the event to join the audience as PUMA Malaysia gave the attendees a perfect opportunity to explore and experience the ideas behind the RS-0 PLAY pack.

PUMA’s Southeast Asia Marketing Manager, Tim Tham, mentioned that the RS-0 PLAY pack is inspired by classic video games, arcades, and the spirit of unforgettable neon lights as part of the entertainment production. “Each colourway uses a range of vibrant colours paying homage to the video game lighting effects that brought games to life!

“Adapting to the Running System technology created way back in the 80s with its high quality cushioning, the current RS-0 PLAY collection brings a vision for the future,” Tim said. The RS-0 PLAY also features a leather upper with subtle perforations on the vamp and a tonal embossed Formstrip, along with a red and yellow padded inserts inspired by game console buttons on the midsole. The classic R-System logos are present on the tongue and outsole.

Retailing at RM 563, the PUMA RS-0 PLAY collection is now available in PUMA KLCC, Sunway Pyramid, Pavilion, The Gardens, IOI City, Aeon Tebrau, and JD Sports. Follow @pumamy for all RS-0 updates and check #PUMAMY #RS0 for more on PUMA’s stories of reinvention.

  1. Honestly I used to buy sports shoes from Adidas, Nike & Reebok only for some reasons. Suddenly I have been attracted to all the beautiful designs from PUMA!!

  2. Wow I haven't been here for awhile, somehow layout looks different. I like some of PUMA designs, especially when they have this rose color. I also currently just started having running shorts from PUMA since it's way more affordable and has back zipper.

    1. I really like their new collection too and they don't jump into the trend like other brands. Still quite affordable and stylish for my liking! :D
