Hi All.....A new beginning has come!

This year 2008 has been a really dramatic year for all the malaysians in this country! First stop in the beginning of the year is the 12th General Election 2008 (Pilihanraya Umum ke-12) on the 8th of March. Everyone was really shocked that the oppositions won almost half of the states in the west Malaysia while BN is still looking pretty strong in Sabah & Sarawak. Not sure till when but my human sense+intelligent tells me that it won't last long. 5th of June!

The most crucial time of the year! Imagine major traffic jam from two or more different areas that lasted for more than 3hours! Just because of PETROL AND DIESEL PRICE INCREASE! Imagine paying RM60 to get a full tank petrol for a PERODUA KANCIL! The following are the new prices of petrol effective from 5th of June onward:

New Price
RON97 Petrol = RM2.699 per liter
RON92 Petrol = RM2.599 per liter
Diesel = RM2.581 per liter

Old Price
RON97 Petrol = RM1.90 per liter
RON92 Petrol = RM1.88 per liter
Diesel = RM1.58 per liter

This is a scene likely we don't want to stuck in! 3hours jam? You gotta be kidding!

I have no idea what is our ministers were thinking!!? 63% & 41% of increase for diesel and petrol! That is just so wrong! At least give some time or early notice to the citizen to prepare. A quick fact, SHELL, PETRONAS, ESSO and other petrol kiosks were still keeping stocks of the normal price oil and they were manage to sell it with the increase price that time. It's not fair! We had to pay more and the kiosks were enjoying their time spending our hard earning money...SIGH~~~ Now even after 1Borneo has been opened, many think twice whether they want to ultilise their oil just to go there to shop. FYI: 1Borneo is currently the largest lifestyle hypermall in the whole Borneo island. Was launched on the 7th of June 2008. What a bad time to launch, just two days right after the oil price increase! Our goverment is trying to make all of us feel happy by giving us oil rebate. Personally i'm quite pleased but not when everything is going up as well. Fuhh~~ For your ease, you can check out how is the procedure works here: http://paultan.org/archives/2008/06/17/claim-your-rm625-fuel-subsidy-at-the-post-office/

Oh well, my first entry seems to be just complaining about my own country and a little bit of our country latest news! So cheer!

P/S: The case where the UMS girl incident in April was having her private exam back at her home at Sibu, Sarawak. That incident did not even break her spirit to go on her life as a uni student. Who told me that she has commited suicide? You can read the news in Daily Express dated on 17th of June, 2008.

Peace ya'll!
