Molden Lava @ 1Utama [Food Review]

Yo again!
Last week I was invited to 1Utama for food tasting in a food outlet called the Molten Lava.
 So basically Molten Lava is famous for its Churros.

Let me simply define.... What is Churros?


Churros, sometimes referred to as a Spanish doughnut, are fried-dough pastry-based snacks, sometimes made from potato dough, that originated in Spain. They are also popular in Latin America, France, Portugal, Morocco, the United States, Australia, and Spanish-speaking Caribbean islands. There are two types of churros in Spain. One is thin (and usually knotted) and the other, especially popular in Madrid, is long and thick (porra). They both are normally eaten for breakfast dipped in hot chocolate.(Source from wikipedia)

Let's take a look at the variety of food which are offered in Molten Lava.

Chocolate & Caramel Drizzle Churos RM5.20

I'm not much as a caramel person but the chocolate really looks good on it... 

The taste is sweet but not too sweet for me. This one was the 1st Churros cleared on that day.

Molten Chocolate Dip RM5.80.

A very good fusion of Churros with the local sambal ikan bilis.

It's only for RM5.80

Cinnamon Sugar Churros RM4.80.

This one is really crunchy! :D

Tomyam Fried Rice RM6.80.

I was quite shock when I realized that they actually serve fried noodle and fried rice in this outlet. I think customer can have a lot of different variety of food here. Too bad I didn't get to taste this because I was full at that time but I heard from the rest the taste was really good and the smell is quite appetizing! :)

Ahhh....  Banana, Caramel & Ice-cream RM10.50

This one also very nice... I like the Strawberry sauce! Not too sweet as well! 

I'm giving 5 Munkey rating for the presentation!

They also serve various shape & color of cupcakes!

Moist chocolate cupcake RM3.00

Chicken Pie RM1.80 each!

Eat this while it's still hot! Yummy!

Cold lemon grass RM4.20

I ordered a cold Lemon Grass which is quite refreshing after eating the Churros.

Let's take a look at the overview of the outlet.

This outlet is just a small unit so you might missed it. 

It is located opposite to Cold Storage at lower ground floor.

I really like the simple interior design of the shop whereby you can actually see how the chef prepared the churos. I personally thought that the logo 'Molten LAVA' is creatively designed. It's simple and it reminds me of the LOVE sign I saw somewhere which I don't really remember.

The very famous and legendary girl - krazygal...

She was personally invited by Botakai but she asked me to tag along with her. So thanks for the opportunity to tag along for this food tasting @ Molten Lava.

Molten Lava is definitely a good hang out spot for 'yumcha' or tea-break.
