A Nightmare on Elm Street Screening

***Unrelated: Last night I went to Jaya One for the Caught in the Middle (Part 1V). It was a great comedy theater show but seriously they really lack of professionalism in the technical theater part. I'm not a pro in that field but I had a friend who study & work in the technical theater field so I always got a free invitation to watch good theater show in Singapore :)

Have you ever had a nightmare before???
I bet everyone had... but I didn't really remember my last nightmare, maybe it was a very long time ago but this nightmare I'm about to tell you not only will be a deep memory but it also kills...
Starring : Jackie Earle Haley, Kyle Gallner, Rooney Mara, Katie Cassidy, Thomas Dekker and Kellan Lutz
Director : Samuel Bayer
Production : Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller
Screenwriter : Wesley Strick, Eric Heisserer and Wes Craven
Plot :
Freddy Krueger returns in A Nightmare on Elm Street, a contemporary re-imagining of the horror classic. A group of surburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another… but when they sleep. there is no escape.

My comments:
Seriously, Michael Bay should not produce this movie. His movie on Transformer & Transformer 2 were so great but this one... I think he's not the horror/thriller movie director person.
Anyway, this show is almost exactly the same with the old version which the storyline is almost exactly the same but only this one is more up to the date version. The only part that I like in this show is the part where the girl is actually killed on the bed scene with the metal nails scratching her entire body, and also the very early part where the guy cut his own throat. That was awesome... the rest just so predictable.

I rather sit on my couch, make my hot tea/coffee & enjoy the old VCD of Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) or better off I also prefer watching the theoretically not-so-logic movie Freddy VS Jason
