The Launching of Proton Inspira

 On the 10th November, 2010...
The Proton Inspira is finally launched at Proton’s Centre of Excellence.

Check out the launching video I embedded here from Paultan.com.

Some photos of the car. You guys might have seen this. Oh well.

The front... almost the same as the Mitsubishi Lancer. Just the badge & front grill...

100% the same if you cover up the badge.

Interior - Proton Inspira

Interior - Mitsubishi Lancer
Almost the same but I prefer the Mitsubishi logo on the steering instead! Haha!

Here's the Proton Inspira price list for Peninsular Malaysia, East Malaysia, Langkawi & Labuan.

Peninsular Malaysia Prices
  • Proton Inspira 1.8 M/T – RM78,999
  • Proton Inspira 1.8 CVT – RM84,999
  • Proton Inspira 2.0 CVT – RM91,999
East Malaysia Prices
  • Proton Inspira 1.8 M/T – RM80,999

FYI, those who are staying in Labuan & Langkawi...
The price for a Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback 2.4 is only cost at RM80,654.45
(OTR price with Insurance)

If someone would have bought this Proton Inspira over a Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback 2.4, that person must really love his own country or 'blind'! Well, it's your money. You can do whatever you want with it!

Here's a price comparison I've made with some of the foreign car makers.

Mazda 2
A Japanese brand.

 VS-Spec 1.5L Sedan, 1498cc - RM77,000.00
V-Spec  1.5L Sedan, 1498cc - RM82,437.50
VR-Spec  1.5L HB, 1498cc - RM83,998.88
R-Spec  1.5L HB, 1498cc - RM85,515.50
(OTR with road tax, registration excluding insurance)

Ford Fiesta
At least Ford is a brand from USA.

1.4L LX Manual - RM 69,888.00
1.6L Sedan LX Ti-VCT - RM 78,888.00
1.6L Sport LX Ti-VCT  - RM 82,888.00
(OTR with road tax, registration and insurance)

Peugeot 207
A newly launched car. A French brand.

 DOHC 16-valve 1.6-litre
RM72,888 OTR with insurance price

For Toyota Vios and Honda City in this case, those are the slightly overpriced sedan car for the Malaysian market. I personally think that it is not practical to get those cars unless it's a 2nd hand car. Right?

So people, are you proud of our local car maker?

What I hope to see is that many people will book Proton Inspira and then the competition will be more and more tough from other car maker. By that, the rest of us will have better deal from the other car maker. For those who have seen Proton Inspira, truly sorry to Proton for not putting deposit on this car... but we all do wish future owner happy with this Inspira!

Once again, it's your money, you decide...
Hope to hear some positive comments from you guys.
Don't just anyhow critic ya! :)

-Peace Out-
