Cars 2 Movie Review

First of all, I would like to thank Isaac Tan and Nuffnang for the special screening of Cars 2 by Disney Pixar on the 23rd August 2011, 9pm at Golden Screen Cinema, Mid Valley Megamall. I have always been a big fan of car related movies such as Gone in 60 Seconds, Fast & Furious and also the previous Cars animated movie.

Lightning McQueen! Kachawwwww! :D

Storyline

Star race car Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater head overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix race. But the road to the championship becomes rocky as Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.

These cute little cars gonna save the world! :D

The Cars 2 special screening took place at GSC Midvalley!

Nuffnangers queueing up to get their movie passes!

While waiting for the screening to start, we the 'innocent people' (who didn't went for the Final Destination 5 screening at KLCC) snapped a few photos.

The lovely couple, Jessy and Simon

The innocent trio, Jessy, Bendan & Iris.

The innocent duo, Genee & Chutipond.

Papa bear (Kian Fai) with the innocent duo!

Myself with the innocent duo...

We the skinny category of innocent people! :D

When we all were about to enter the cinema hall, Bendan was showing us the similarity between the Toyol (small green thief creature) and herself. Looks the same or not? Anyway, she's cute! :)

It was a good show and everyone put up a sweet smile after that.

This movie did not concentrate on the Lightning McQueen which they did on the previous one instead they made Mater the tow truck, who is the best friend of the  four times Piston Cup champ. If you had not watched the previous Cars animated movie, you have nothing to worry about because in Cars 2, the characters will self explain of what they are capable of. The animation is somehow creatively being manipulated into its own purpose to suit the cars just like an ordinary human being. Just that I don't quite understand how their money or currency looks like since they have to use money when they buy something. What I like most about this movie is that this movie is not all about the race alone but it gives me a feeling that I'm watching a special agent, car chasing, action and explosion movie all together. They did a really good job on the character Mater, a joker and also the hero at the same time in Cars 2.

My rating? 3.5 / 5 - A very recommended & fun movie to watch for young and old! I had a good laugh… thanks to Mater, the tow truck! :)

. . . . . . .

After the screening, a few of us went for supper at Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar at SS2, Petaling Jaya. We had ice milo, teh tarik and roti tisu! Check out the size of the roti tisu below!

The staff showing the roti tisu before he slowly put it down on the plates.

Here's the roti tisu compared to my iPhone, it's length approximately about 3 feet.
It's a good to have in a group since the price wasn't too expensive. Just RM5 each!

A shot of the innocent people before eating the roti tisu.

Had a great night with the Nuffnangers.
Till then...

.: Peace Out :.

  1. Nice post! I was talking about this movie with my sister the other day. She told me about the shows by Andy Yeatman available on Netflix. I was so happy to see the series. There was so much to learn from it. I liked this movie because of the same reason. There is always a moral in the end.
