Pasembur (Rojak India) at Taman Bahagia

Good day!

Do you know what is Pasembur? Let me briefly tell you what it is in case you guys too lazy to Google it. Pasembur is a Malaysian Indian salad consisting of cucumber (shredded), potatoes, beancurd, turnip, bean sprouts, prawn fritters, spicy fried crab, fried octopus or other seafoods and served with a sweet and spicy nut sauce.

The term Pasembur is peculiar to Northern Peninsular Malaysia. It is especially associated with Penang where Pasembur can be had along Gurney Drive In other parts of Malaysia, the term Rojak Mamak is commonly used.

In this entry, I would like to introduce one particular Pasembur stall which is located just opposite the Taman Bahagia LRT station.

Taman Bahagia LRT Station

The Pasembur stall.

There are various customer from young to old, even kids are queueing up to get a taste of a plate of Pasembur.

The location of the stall is strategically next to a park and right under the tree provides a very good shading for the customers who want to enjoy a good Pasembur during the evening.

The pricing for the Pasembur. They also sell Chendol but I didn't bother to try it since it's not so recommended and from the looks of it, their Chendol doesn't look so appetizing to me.

This is the Pasembur with eggs (RM4.00)

Another shot of the Pasembur. I'm yet to try the one with squid.

I personally rate it 6.5/10 since the taste is just okay (nothing special about it) but it's good to have it during tea time and of course having it at the spot is better especially under the shade at the park. The wind and the nature is one of the factor that makes me want to go back and have a plate of Pasembur plus it's just opposite the LRT station. So why not?

This is the person who recommended the Pasembur to me. Miss ugly betty also known as Michelle Snoopy. She's a blogger too. Do visit her blog here.

Location: It's just opposite the road from Taman Bahagia LRT station and it's on the right side of the park along Jalan SS 2/9.

Operating hour: It's totally up to them, whenever they want since it's a van but the earliest I've seen them setting up the stall is around 12noon and they close as around 5pm or earlier depends on their sale.

.: Peace Out :.
