Paranormal Activity 3 (2011) Movie Review

If the first and second instalment had made u screaming and jumping from your seats so much or even yell embarrassedly in the cinema hall, (which I bet it didn't really happened) and now Paranormal Activity got a huge amount of attentions from movie critics. Some of you who have watched the first and second movie, you might not be satisfied with that kind of ending I guess? Yes? No?

Anyway, thanks to Nuffnang & United International Pictures, I am invited to the premiere screening of the Paranormal Activity 3 at GSC Mid Valley Megamall last night. Roslyn Kong who was supposed to be my partner had to back out last minute due to her car broke down when she was on the way to the cinema. Poor thing, hope that her car will be fine.

Cast & Crew: PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 is produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli and Steven Schneider and directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman from a screenplay by Christopher Landon.

The Story: This 3rd instalment brings us back to 1988, when Katie and Kristi were still kids. While trying to get video proof of Bloody Mary, Katie and Kristi are first confronted by the monstrous demon that continued to haunt them in their adulthood (first and second movie) along with their family.

My verdict: Seriously, if you are planning to watch this, I would recommend you to watch the 2nd one then the 1st Paranormal Activity so that you'll understand the whole story. This was my first encounter of watching a movie that goes backward of time from 1st till the 3rd one. Normally, it go into a few sequel of movies then the last one will goes back to prequel or the very beginning just like Star Wars and X-Men. After watching the trailer video above, I guessed that they never show the scene where Katie & Kristi said Bloody Mary in the toilet instead it was Katie and Dennis's friend, Randy. That scene was quite funny though...

My favourite line: "Did you see that? She got blown at her face!"

My rating: 2 out of 5 - At least the pace/timeline of this movie is faster compared to the 1st instalment and it somehow managed to build up the tremor smoothly for the viewers. Again, please go watch the 2nd and then the 1st movie after this.

The big question is, will you still be bothered to carry the video camera steadily and record down every single moment that happens to you when all the horror stuff are happening right in front of your eyes?

.: Peace Out :.
