Remember about the special promotion by Starbucks Malaysia I posted last year during Earth Hour? (Link here) It's now back again and this time the terms and conditions are much easier to follow!
Tonight's Earth Hour! If you have a smartphone or any gadgets that can allow you to get on Foursquare. Check in at Starbucks and look out for "specials" at their official store locations. Check in between 8.30pm - 9.30pm. The 'special' will flash on your screen upon check in. Show the screen to our partner and redeem your grande sized frappuccino.

What's your plan for tonight's Earth Hour? Will you be staying at home, turning off all the lights, fans, tv, etc or will you be at the shopping malls? As for me, I personally don't believe the in effectiveness of this campaign to the society. The i-City in Shah Alam alone consume electricity more that what our whole country can save in that particular hour. Anyhow, I am very happy that Starbucks are having such promotion and being so supportive to the campaign. They did turn off some of the main lights at the outlet for that one hour. I might be heading over to Starbucks nearby to get my free Frappucino! Too bad for those who do not own a smartphone, maybe they can use laptop or tablet to check in Foursquare tonight.
