D'Rich @ Sunway Mentari

Have you been to D'Rich before? Some might have noticed one of their branch in SS2 Petaling Jaya which is one of their largest branch among the four branches in Klang Valley. Anyway, here's some story behind this brilliant food place. D'Rich is a story of a group of food lovers. This group of food lovers and their love for food spurred an out-of-the-box thinking. Partnering with Master Chef Yong, they created food that's good and pleasing to the senses.

D'Rich Pumpkin Soup RM6.90
Enough with the introduction, let's proceed to the first dish we had. The D'Rich Pumpkin Soup as the first appetizer is rich with nutrient and vitamin A. The thickness of the pumpkin soup went very well with the crispiness of the bread. Eat it while it's still hot!

D'Rich Soup Kambing RM8.90

Next up is the D'Rich Soup Kambing which is also served in a bread ball/bowl. The taste of the soup kambing is really rich and not too salty for my liking in another word, it's delicious!

Special Egg in Bread RM5.80
For those who wanted to have eggs for breakfast, the Special Egg in Bread is for you. Filled with two soft boiled egg, it's an ideal meal for those who prefer to have a light breakfast.

This is how the bread bowl looks like after I put on the lid.

D'Rich Rainbow Salad RM9.90
A lot of people thought vegetable is good for health but did you know that one must eat different types and colours of vegetable? Each different color fruit and vegetables contains unique health components that are essential to our health as seen in the color wheel or chart. The D'Rich Rainbow Salad suits the statement and taste good too with only olive oil and other natural ingredients.

D'Rich Seafood White Tom Yam RM13.90
Time for the main courses, first in the list is the D'Rich Seafood White Tom Yam. The clear white tom yam is made from a blend of 10 herbs and spices, seafood, vegetables and mee hoon. I quite like the taste of the soup, the prawn and lala but it would be better if it's more spicy.

Char Koay Teow Mee (with salted egg) RM8.90
For those who are craving for this signature Penang food, you can now have it in D'Rich! The Char Koay Teow Mee with salted egg is one of the best I had try in Klang Valley. The spiciness and the fragrance of the char koay teow increase my appetite to finish the whole thing myself.

Sambal Petai Fried Rice RM10.90
One of the fastest emptied plate for the evening was the Sambal Petai Fried Rice. For those who loves petai, this is a choice that you must order. The goodness of every bite was really satisfying along side with the fried onions.

Nasi Lemak Mutton Curry RM12.90
One of my favorite dish of the night, the Nasi Lemak Mutton Curry. The mutton curry was really good and how I wish the portion could be bigger. It comes with cucumber slices, sambal belacan, eggs, fried anchovies and peanuts.

D'Rich Braised Mutton Rice RM12.90
I must give a compliment to this particular dish whereby the mutton was indeed nicely braised. The gravy does affect the whole taste too, so make sure you eat the rice together with the gravy and braised mutton.

Sambal Sotong, Prawn & Petai RM12.90
Comparing this dish to the Sambal Petai Fried Rice, the rice in this dish is not fried and comes along with three side dishes which is a bowl of soup, mixed vege and omelette.

D'Rich Grilled Fusion Salmon RM24.90
Next is the D'Rich Grilled Fusion Salmon that comes with fried rice and salad. The fish was perfectly grilled with the sweet soya sauce. I would prefer if they use teppanyaki sauce instead.

Pan-Seared Dory Fish Spaghetti RM16.90
The Pan-Seared Dory Fish Spaghetti is cooked with cream sauce and with some sprinkled of cheese powder. Not too cheesy or creamy for my liking and the amount of dory fish is good enough in every bite.

Grilled Chicken Burger RM8.80
The Grilled Chicken Burger comes with fries and had an actual chicken thigh meat which is not the ordinary patty which is mixed with all kinds of chicken part in it. I love the sauce and the juiciness of the meat.

Fried Chicken Wing (2 pcs) RM7.90
Special ABC with Durian (Large) RM9.80
As for dessert, we had the Special ABC with Durian. The portion was quite big and it wasn't too sweat at all. I personally prefer this than those ABC or Cendol with Durian in Melaka's Jonker Street.

Sarsaparilla Frost RM7.90
Milo Dinosaur RM4.80
I ordered this Milo Dinosaur cause I know it's gonna be huge and it has always been the favorite drink for me when I was still very young!

D'Rich Coffee (Ice) RM3.80 (Hot) RM2.80
The D'Rich Coffee is made from their own blended coffee bean. Taste quite 'kaw' and it reminds me of those coffee which I used to had at the kopitiam back in my hometown. Plus coffee goes very well with cakes which we had in the pictures below.

American Chocolate Cake
Olive Oil Cake

Some interior shoots of D'Rich. The Stock Market is seen at the other end corner.

They decicatedly strive to provide the best value in terms of food quality, excellence service in a comfortable and cozy dining environment and unique experience - that's why they are bold enough to say that they are the King of Good Food! Overall, the food is quite good and I think the place is pretty relaxing. I am planning to go to one of their branch in SS2 very soon to have some of their signature dishes again. Let me know if you want to join me!
