Ramadhan Buffet at The FOOD Tree @ OWG

A few weeks ago, I was invited for the Aneka Bazaar Ramadhan 2012 - Ramadhan Buffet at The Food Tree which is located inside the Only World Group (OWG) building in Shah Alam. The location was actually inside an industrial park where it's quite secluded from the busy city and the good news is, there's a very high possibility of no traffic jam before the breaking fast hour around the area.

We arrived at around 7.30pm and then we headed to the registration counter to register ourselves and collect our press release. The pre-cocktail session has already started when we reached and so we waited for roughly about 10 minutes before they ushered us into the banquet hall where all the beautiful dishes was nicely placed.



The settings of the banquet hall in The Food Tree is decent and gives me the impression of an above average Chinese restaurant.



The menu of the day which had successfully satisfied our hungry stomach especially if you are a big fan of Malay cuisine!



Food! Glorious food! A mixture of Chinese, Indian and Malay cuisine.

I heard there's going to be a mooncake making demonstration later.

Siew Mai is one of my favorite dim sum besides Har Gao.

There were some side dishes too.

In between, there was a mooncake making demonstration by one of their chef.

The end result! The mooncake was really soft, delicious and not too sweet for my liking.

The girls wanted to try to make mooncake too!

Since there's only one set of hand glove, two of them use a side for their hand and decided to make the mooncake together like a Siamese twins! LOL

Their end product, it's actually not so bad! Well done! :D

One of their special drinks, the honey cucumber with lemon slice. Too sweet for me though!

Lamb shank with rice mixed with a lot of different type of spices.

Coconut shake, never tried the one in Malacca but I like this! :D

Ais kacang for buka puasa. I know you just can't resist this!

Shrimp dumpling with crab roe which is not included in the buffet. Ala carte order is available.

Soft and creamy durian pancake for durian lover like me!

Overall, I find the variety was not as a lot as the other Ramadhan buffet which I had been whereby they serve international buffet but what I like is the quality of the food especially the Singapore Chili Crab Mutton Rogan Josh and Ayam Tandoori. The only thing is that I really wish that they can put in the coconut shake, shrimp dumpling and the durian pancake in the buffet as well.

Anyway, the Ramadhan buffet has already started from 23rd of July until the 17th of August 2012.

Child 5 - 12 years old & senior citizen above 60 years old is RM39.45 nett,
while for the adult, RM78.90 nett
and kids below 4 years old can dine for FREE!
