I'm sure that the title for my blog post might not be new to some of you who have subscribed to Celcom's Facebook page or read about my blog post not long ago [link here]. Well the have already picked the winners for the Celcom Cupcake Challenge at the finale event at Publika but first, check out some of the photos at the event below.
There's no age requirement for the Celcom Cupcake Challenge, young or old, anyone can participate! :)
The venue for the Celcom Cupcake Challenge finale, Boulevard @ Publika which was seem to be quite a suitable place to host such event.
Here's some of the cupcakes made by these contestants!
A cupcake with hands and legs?
Barbie cupcake?
Butterfly cupcake?
My personal favorite was the Orang Utan cupcake above! Too bad she didn't get into the Top 3 but she was listed in the Top 10 though...
The three judges consist of Chef Sherson Llan, Chef Dato Fazley Yaakob and Chef Rose Welss.
After the competing time was up, the judging takes place.
While the judges were busy calculating all the points from the contestants, the dance performance by Elecoldxhot Junior was up to entertain us.
Next up was a song performed by Dato Fazley Yaakob together with the dancers in chef outfit. I find that the dancers who's dancing behind was actually quite adorable!
Top 10 contestants were called out to explain about the artwork on their cupcakes.
Congratulation to the winner, Vincent Liew, followed by the 1st runner up, Juneci Siong
and 2nd runner up, Mac Leong. They each take home cash prizes together with a Samsung Galaxy S3! While the rest of the 52 finalist walk home with a LG Prada mobile phone. How nice! :D

Besides the competition which was ongoing, there were also the cupcake decoration demonstration, decorating your own cupcakes and 1,000 free cupcakes up for grabs from 2-6pm!
After the prize giving ceremony, Celcom announced that they have decided to host another cupcake event! This time, their panel of judges will select 55 finalists from all the existing entries based on their creativity. These 55 finalists will then compete at the next event to see which 3 have the best design of all!
Stay tune on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/cupcakeschallenge as they will be announcing the 55 finalist for the next event, and also further details of when it's happening!
