Terengganu Rip Curl Pro 2012 is an up-coming first ever 6-star pro surf contest which will be held on November 30th till December 2nd at the coastal of Pantai Batu Burok, Kuala Terengganu. The renowned Australia surf brand, Rip Curl (Malaysia) is proud to announce the brand partnership with the State Government of Terengganu for this pro surf contest and the press conference took place at 1 Utama Old Wing which is situated right in front of the Rip Curl store.

The Terengganu Rip Curl Pro surf contest 2012 is a surf event sanctioned by the Asian Surfing Championship (ASC). During this 3-days 6-star pro event, surfers hails from different regions of South East Asia are expected to compete in five different divisions – Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Master Division and Bodyboard Open, and Longboard Open. There are total estimated over RM 40,000 worth of prizes up for grabs for the participant’s surfers. After the welcome speech by Joey, there was a fashion show for Rip Curl latest collection by the students of Amber Chia Academy models.
After the fashion show, they proceed to the speeches by Mr. James Hendy (Marketing Manager of Rip Curl SEA) and Mr. Tim Hain (Media & Communications, Director of Asian Surfing Championship)
The Terengganu Rip Curl Pro 2012 is organized by EC Extreme Resources supported by S.U.K Terengganu, Tourism Malaysia, Ministry of Tourism Terengganu and Rip Curl Bali Surf School.
Rip Curl (Malaysia) announced that the brand had signed off an official 1-year Official Rip Curl Malaysia Riders deal with two top Malaysian surfers – Bryan Ng and Brenda Lee.
Besides, Rip Curl Malaysia also renewing the official rider contracts for 17-year old young surfer from Cherating, Mohd. Suhaimi (Semmy).
After the sign off ceremony, there's a media Q&A session with the surfers, Assistant General Manager of Rip Curl, Miss Vivian Chew and the rest of the team.

Brenda Lee is currently ranked #1 female surfer in Malaysia and #4 in Asian Surfing Championship Woman 2012. I guess nowadays surfing has also attract our local woman apart from the man.
