Jurassic Park 3D (Movie Review)

Hey guys, I just came back from Jurassic Park 3D movie screening thanks to Manoah, Samsung Malaysia and Total Film Magazine. The first time I watched Jurassic Park was during my primary school years. It was shown on TV2 and somehow I am still able to recall the cast and most parts of the story especially the part in the kitchen.

Anyway, this 3D re-release was already released in US on 5 April 2013, to commemorate the movie's 20th Anniversary (Malaysia releases on 30 May 2013). Jurassic Park 4 was originally scheduled to be released on 13 June 2014 but somehow it has re-entered development with no current release date. Hopefully it will be released in the soonest time.

Cast:
Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant
Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler
Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm
Richard Attenborough as John Hammond
Ariana Richards as Lex Murphy
Samuel L. Jackson as Ray Arnold

Storyline:
Huge advancements in scientific technology have enabled a mogul to create an island full of living dinosaurs. John Hammond has invited four individuals, along with his two grandchildren, to join him at Jurassic Park. But will everything go to plan? Especially when one of the parks' own workers attempts to steal the dinosaur embryos, and has to shut down critical security systems in the process. It's now a race for survival with dangerous creatures roaming all over the island.

My Conclusion:
It's still a pretty good movie to watch directed by the multi-award winning director Steven Spielberg even after 20 years. There's a few noticeable flaws in this movie but I won't state any of them here. This is not like the cartoon Land Before Time at all so please do not bring your little kids along to watch.
Movie Rating: 3.5/5

Comment on the 3D:
This movie wasn't filmed in 3D 20 years ago and there's only a few parts where 3D graphic plays their role especially during the beginning where 3D depth was noticeable. Perhaps it would be better to watch it in TGV's iMAX cinema.
3D Rating: 1/5
