Monster University (Movie Review)

Just came back the movie screening of Monster University thanks to Nuffnang, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Malaysia and MBO cinema. I've watched Monster Inc back in 2001 and after 12 years, they finally released the prequel, yes it's a prequel.

Director: Dan Scanlon
Writers: Robert L. Baird (screenplay), Robert L. Baird (story)
Voice cast: Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi

Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn't always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn't stand each other. "Monsters University" unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.

Watch the movie trailer below:-

My conclusion: It's a good movie for family and kids. It's okay if you have not watched Monster Inc before this because it's not related to this one at all but I would recommend you to watch Monster Inc later. The animation has a lot of improvement, better details and the colour is more vibrant (maybe watching it on MBO 4K screen made it better). It has lesser action this time but with more humour which is easier to understand if you're not too young. Overall, I recommend this movie to be watched in the cinema. No spoiler this time.

Rating: 3.5 / 5.0

By the way, the scene above which appeared in one of their trailer is not shown in the movie.
