Catching the X-Men: Apocalypse in Style with Ubermen

Last Tuesday, I was invited to catch one of the latest Marvel super heroes movie – X-Men: Apocalypse at TGV Cinemas, 1 Utama. I have watched all the X-Men movies previously including Deadpool which was released in February earlier this year.



Director Bryan Singer takes the franchise to new heights with X-Men: Apocalypse, in which the X-Men battle the original and most powerful mutant – Apocalypse, following his acclaimed work on X-Men: Days of Future Past. I was quite excited to be able to attend the preview screening of the movie in IMAX 3D all thanks to Ubermen.

Before the movie starts, a few bloggers and I dropped by Watsons in 1 Utama for a quick shopping session. We were told about the current promotions available for Ubermen hairstyling products whereby some of them collaborated with the movie X-Men: Apocalypse.

Our shopping loot from Watsons... I bet this gonna last us a few years until our next purchase. My favorite Ubermen hairstyling product is the 3D Matt which I am still using it today. I have the 15gm Spike Wax too for days that I feel like spiking up my short hair.

I think we took quite a while shopping at Watsons but we still manage to visit the Ubermen's Mutant Makeover Machine booth which is located at TGV Cinemas. The makeover is done by applying the Ubermen hairstyling products.

At the Mutant Makeover Machine, I wanted to style my hair just like Wolverine in X-Men but unfortunately my hair was too short for it. So I just let the person in charged of the styling to do what is the best style for my hair. After some touches, my hair did spiked up a little bit. It did last me entire night throughout the movie. So do I look good?

The film will centerpiece around a powerful mutant, Apocalypse. In 1983, the invincible and immortal Apocalypse is set free after being entombed for several millennia.  Enraged that his kind are no longer treated as gods, Apocalypse assembles a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to destroy humankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.

X-MEN: APOCALYSPE opens nationwide on May 19.

As for the movie, I really do enjoy watching it especially on the appearance on some of my favorite X-Men characters and also the action packed scenes. There are some plot holes and the fact that they completely ignored the first three X-Men movies and the X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it doesn't affect the mood of the movie. So if you have not watched the first three X-Men movies, it's totally fine. As long as you watched First Class and Days of Future Past then it's alright. Do stay until the end for the end credit scene.
