The Media Launch of Transformers Autobots Rollout at 1 Utama

Last Thursday, I was invited for the launch of Transformers Autobots Rollout roadshow event happening at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Hasbro (Malaysia) brings TRANSFORMERS brand extravaganza for fans, with different exhibits and activities that promise to bring smiles from the neophytes to even the most avid TRANSFORMERS collectors and hobbyists.

To all TRANSFORMERS fans out there, don’t miss out on the event at Centre Court, 1 Utama (Old Wing) that will be happening until 5 June 2016.
I am an avid Transformers collectors myself and have been collecting the toys for quite some time. With the current Transformers toy line which is the Combiner Wars and Robots in Disguise, I do have some of them up on my display shelf at the moment.

Speaking at the launch of the event, Ms. Kelly Yip, Brand Manager of Hasbro Toy (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. said, “Since 1984, The TRANSFORMERS brand has been bringing entertainment and excitement to kids and fans with our beloved characters like BUMBLEBEE and OPTIMUS PRIME. This event embodies what all of us at Hasbro have worked hard and strived to do, that is to deliver immersive entertaining experience of our brands and story-telling to our consumers, and engage our fans anywhere, anytime, any platform.” Hasbro Toy (Malaysia) is the fully owned subsidiary of Hasbro Inc.

After the speech, the folks from Hasbro Toy (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. demonstrate the fastest-fingers challenge by transforming and combining all five individual robots (4 deluxe and 1 voyager class) into a combiner figure by joining the limbs onto the body.

As seen on the picture above, the folks from Hasbro were assembling the G2 Superion and Bruticus. I like that Bruticus very much due to the G1 accuracy and it's also one of the latest wave in Combiner Wars. Winners of the challenge will receive a Combiner Wars leader class figure worth RM249.90. More info can be referred from the picture below.

Throughout the duration of the 11-day event, visitors will be treated to a special display of collectors’ and limited edition figures over the course of the event. Meanwhile, children will be entertained by a host of activities to keep them occupied during the holidays.

There was special ceremony which the limited edition Chevrolet Camaro featured in the previous TRANSFORMERS movie was unveiled and placed on display for three hours on that day. The car was believed to be one out of only five vehicles in Malaysia. The event was in partnership with i2 Promotions. As of writing this post, visitors can get to view the Camaro at the roadshow.

For those who may not know, Bumblebee was originally a yellow Volkswagen Beetle in the Generation 1 series but it has received a variety of different car version along the years. The Chevrolet Camaro is the version which appeared in all the live action movies.

Participants will receive a TRANSFORMERS gift upon completion and have the opportunity to have their photo taken with Bumblebee and Optimus Prime statues in front of a cinematic TRANSFORMERS visual background.
