The Casio G-Shock from MYMarcoStore Watch Review

The Casio G-shock series is no stranger those watch enthusiast who are into active lifestyle such as sports, outdoor activities eg. hiking and diving or even in the military. As its name suggested, it is well designed to resist mechanical shock and being magnetic resistant too.

The Casio G-Shock GA-110RG-1A watch in all its glory.

So in this blog post, I will be reviewing the Casio G-Shock GA-110RG-1A Black Resin Band Men Sports Watch that I have gotten from Mymarcostore. If you like to watch the unboxing video which I did on this watch, you can check out the video on my YouTube page here or you can click on the video below:-

The very first thing that I noticed the most about this watch aside from the band and the outer bezel are black, the needles and some of the metal components are bronze in colour. This makes the needles more stand out in spite having black colour band and outer bezel. Everything was pretty familiar to me as I have owned a couple of G-shocks back then and I am still wearing my red Casio G-Shock GA-110FC-1A watch from time to time.

The Casio G-Shock GA-110RG-1A watch comes with a metal case, manual book and warranty card.

A lovely addition to my red Casio G-Shock GA-110FC-1A watch or some people called it the LEGO watch.

The Casio G-Shock GA-110RG-1A watch has features such as the orange LED light, world time, 1/1000-second stopwatch, countdown timer, 5 daily alarms, hourly time signal, 12 or 24-hour format and Regular Timekeeping and with the accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. It also has water resistance up to 20 bar or depth of 200 meters. The two analog needles indicate hour and minute while the digital panel indicates hour, minute, second, month, date and day.

Water resistance ability up to 20 bar or 200 meters depth. Also hologram sticker to ensure authenticity of this watch.

I can use this watch as my daily driver either to work, doing outdoor activities or simply hanging out with my friends and family on the weekend. On a side note, I find the world time very useful especially when I travel countries that have different time zone. Setting it is pretty fast and easy I must say.

I can wear this watch anytime, anywhere, wherever and whenever.

So here are the list of things I like about this watch:-

1. It feels very solid wearing it and not really heavy, weight only 72g.
2. The black resin made it looks stealthy yet stylish.
3. Being shock and magnet resistance.
4. Water resist up to 20 bar or depth of 200 meters.
5. Long battery life. It will last more than 2 years on CR1220 coin lithium battery.

Number 5 is definitely the thing that many will miss, not having to charge the battery every few weeks just like most smart watches in the market right now.

If I were to change something on this watch, it will be the orange LED light to something brighter. I know it’s somehow iconic since they have been using it for a very long time but it can be quite difficult to look see the time when it’s pitch black.

Overall, the Casio G-Shock GA-110RG-1A is a stylish watch that can handle most of your typical outdoor activities as long as you don’t run it over with a Caterpillar truck or throw it down from the highest floor of KLCC tower.

Finally filling up my Casio watch collection in this case.

  2. I'm a fan of Casio G-shock & Baby-G watches! Was hoping to get the Gundam series for my son's 24th birthday but sadly couldn't lay my hands on it even in Japan. Sigh!
