My Visit to Setia City Mall ‘Eat · Makan · 吃!’ Food Fiesta

I was at Setia City Mall last Sunday for this event. I'm a sucker for food carnivals and since there's a lot of food offered and activities going on, I figured that I should drop by in the evening.

Just to recap on what I've wrote on my previous blog post on this, the Setia City Mall food carnival is held in conjunction with ‘Eat · Makan · 吃!’ Food Fiesta Campaign and it will be happening again this weekend from 26th until 28th July 2019 at 4.00pm to 10.00pm.

You can take a look at the food carnival activity schedule above and the location of the food places for indoor and outdoor below.

For Muslim visitors, they can enjoy halal food from Boat Noodle, Sushi King, DIY Bites, Row Six and Shabu X.

If you are a non-Muslim like me, you can check out the dishes from Go Noodle and D’Legends Bar are in store which are located separately away from the halal zone.

If you are not too hungry or just had a big lunch, you can opt to check out the bites and desserts such as Inside Scoop and Skinny Bakers. In addition to the stalls, there will be other booths selling snacks too such as Japanese snacks by Nimaco. Craving for durian? There's the 'all you can eat' durian buffet for RM45, eat as much as you can within 25 minutes. Interestingly, the Red Prawn or Udang Merah (D175) is part of the durian buffet. That's awesome!

I found out that we can use our e-wallet to pay for some of the food and drinks at the food carnival. That's really convenient! I paid my takoyaki via Touch 'n Go eWallet.

Here's what I got at the food carnival. The Taiwan style deep fried chicken from Uncle Bob, takoyaki from Shasya Truck and Milky Mango from Originality Kitchen. The Milky Mango is to die for and it's only RM5 a cup with a couple of diced mango fruits in it.

I also bought the currently trending Brown Sugar Milk with Pearl from Sunny Boy for RM7. I would say it's pretty decent given that they use Goodday UHT full cream milk and it is a lot cheaper compared to those selling at the boba shops in SS15 Subang Jaya.

Aside from the food, this carnival will also feature entertaining performances throughout the day by Yamaha, Fitness First, SK Setia Alam, Persatuan Percinta Muzik Ukulele Malaysia (PPMUM) and Moon Walker Dance Studio. You can also enjoy some fun games at game stations or take part in “Strike a Pose” photo contest and walk away with some prizes.

You can have a walk or fly a kite at the field in front of the food carnival. A good place to spend time with our dearest family and friend on a weekend.

This carnival is located outside east entrance of Setia City Mall and do check out their website at www.setiacitymall.com for the full list of events and updates.
