Recently, I was invited to a food review session at an Asian restaurant and bar called Opium KL. This restaurant is located in Changkat Bukit Bintang and it's only about 6 minutes walk from Bukit Bintang MRT station. If you are around this area or prefer to commute via public transport, this is a great place for you to dine or just to chill with family and friends.
Opium KL focuses on Asian Oriental delights with a twist such as Phoenix Dumpling, Angus Beef Rendang and many more. As for this review, the focus will be on the 'All You Can Eat & Drink' dim sum and noodles for only RM29++ per person. Yes, you read that right. You can enjoy more than 20 varieties of dim sum and noodles at a very affordable price in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Now who said that you have to spend a lot of money for dim sum in KL?
Opium KL can be easily spotted with a huge signage at one of the corner lot in Changkat Bukit Bintang.
Being one of the early adopter of the east Asian Oriental restaurant concept, I like how they decorate every corner differently with all the unique elements which is quite instagrammable in my opinion.

So now let's check out what are the offerings that are included in the 'All You Can Eat & Drink' dim sum and noodles package.
We are given free flow of lemon tea and you can choose either cold or hot. As for the dim sum, there are varieties such as siew mai, har gao (prawn dumpling), salted egg cream bun, vegetable spring rolls, crystal dumpling, crabstick in smoked chicken rolls, coriander dumpling, cabbage rolls, bbq chicken bun and many more. There's one dim sum which I rarely find at other dim sum shops is the herbal dumpling or money bag dim sum.

Loh Mai Kai

Lemongrass Sticks and Sesame Prawn Rolls

My all time favorite dim sum is siew mai and seconded by har gao. Those two are my must order dim sum and I can finish two baskets on my own! As for noodles, there's five type of noodles as you can see blow.
Spicy Prawn Noodles
Opium Wanton Noodles – This is easily my favorite noodle as for a PORK FREE restaurant as they manage to cook this wanton noodles without pork lard or pork oil at all.
Curry Spaghettini with Salmon – Spaghettini, salmon fillet, coconut broth, spices, dried shrimps, chicken, long beans, sprouts, tofu puffs, eggs, spring onions and eggplant. The portion of this noodle was quite adequate for me and I enjoyed the spaghettini with the fragrant broth. The salmon fillet was nicely cooked as well.
Also worth mentioning is their Angus Beef Rendang which consist of angus beef, rendang spices, coconut, tumeric leaves and kaffir lime leaves. We can opt for either lotus leaf buns or poppy seed rice but I personally will recommend you to get it with the lotus leaf buns as it compliments really well with the rendang.
Aside from the dim sum buffet and ala carte dishes, we also got to try some of their special mocktails. We had the Mango Asam Boi and Apple Lychee Mint. Both drinks have its own distinct taste and they go pretty well with the dishes that we had. Overall, I think the 'All You Can Eat & Drink' dim sum and noodles is a very good deal and if you have a huge appetite, this is definitely for you!

Gotta stay at Bukit Bintang again the next time I hop over. Been avoiding it when they had some construction going on and it was badly jammed.
