The Grand Opening of Ryoshi Izakaya Signature at Atria Shopping Gallery

On the 22nd of June 2019, a premium Japanese restaurant Ryoshi Izakaya Signature has announced its grand opening at Atria Shopping Gallery in Petaling Jaya. I myself am a big fan of Japanese cuisine especially in the sushi and sashimi Japanese delicacy.

The restaurant aim to only serve fresh premium Japanese food ingredients, the menu showcases authentic Japanese cuisine favourites covering appetiser, soup, sashimi, tempura, grilled dish, rice and also the iconic special Omakase pairing set of Bluefin Tuna and sake at only RM499 per person, second person for RM299 from 22-23 June in conjunction with the grand opening.

A wide array of premium sakes and beverages will be served for the guest to perfect the Japanese cuisine dining experience at the restaurant.

Located on the ground floor of Atria Shopping Gallery, the minimalistic design with a mix or modern and traditional Japanese elements, Ryoshi Izakaya Signature boasts a spacious and wide seating capacity up to 130pax that is perfect for group dining and events.

Ryoshi Izakaya Signature was founded by a group of likeminded passionate people in the F&B industry namely Dato’ Patrick Chong, female restaurateur Christina Chan, national badminton players Vivan Hoo and Goh Jin Wei who both embarked on a double duty role- a restaurateur and an athlete.

“Ryoshi Izakaya Signature is a pioneer in introducing affordable premium Japanese cuisine in Malaysia. Hence, we are proud and excited to become one of the Japanese restaurants to provide affordable luxury options for people to taste premium and freshest food particularly the Omakase Bluefin Tuna and Sake set at an affordable price that can be enjoyed by many without paying extra. Guest shall never be hindered from enjoying good food because of a price,” said Christina who manages the day to day operations.

“I frequent here four times a week playing the role of eating and serve some form of entertainment previously and may be involved more later,” said Vivian earlier in an interview with The Star earlier.

In conjunction with the new opening, a special live cutting demonstration and tasting of fresh Bluefin tuna was also prepared for attendees to experience today. I was really excited to be able to witness the cutting of the fresh Bluefin tuna at the event.

Just look at the size of the Bluefin tuna, it was so huge and weight more than 100kg! :D

Here are some of the sliced parts of the Bluefin Tuna.

We were told that the most expensive part and the fattiest part is the back cheek of the Bluefin tuna which is also known as 'kama-toro'.

The sizeable Bluefin tuna head and tail. I wonder how it will taste like we cook fish head curry with it. Hahaha...

After the live demonstration, we get to sample some of the Bluefin tuna sashimi. It was superbly fresh I must say! :)

You can now enjoy the affordable set lunch from RM19.90 onwards, 12-3pm, Mondays- Fridays. For beer lovers, raise your glass and drink up to 10 mugs of Carlsberg at only RM99. Pretty good deal eh!

  2. It looks like a fun event but I don't understand why they chose bluefin tuna as a highlight considering it's on the RED list (that is don't eat it as the numbers are so low). It doesn't seem like something to be proud of showcasing.
