The Power & Energy Series will be held from 3 to 5 September 2019 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), the event will gather together major players in the power and energy fraternity, with one show covering the whole value chain focused on conventional and renewable generation, to transmission and distribution, to its digital transformation and including the financing of the energy transition by industry.
The Power & Energy Series is endorsed by the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change Malaysia (MESTECC) and hosted by the nation’s premier power supplier, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).
YB Puan Yeo Bee Yin, Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change (MESTECC) will be giving the Ministerial Address at the event on 3rd September 2019.
The highly anticipated five leading energy series will involve 350 exhibitors, and is expected to draw over 11,000 visitors and 2,000 international buyers, spreading over 22,000 sqm at the venue, for insights on practical strategies towards achieving renewable targets, while addressing the key issues of energy security across the region.
The establishment of the Power & Energy Series is in line with MESTECC’s energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. Malaysia has huge potential in renewable energy resources, especially with the new roadmap for energy transition known as the Renewable Energy Transition Roadmap (RETR) 2035.
In this regard, the Power & Energy Series creates a good platform to explore the possible strategies and action plan to support the rapid growth of the industry, especially with efforts from private entities to embark on strategies to produce more renewable energy. Industry players will also be able to keep up-to-date with the latest innovation and technology at the event.

According to Nick Rastall, Portfolio Director Asia of Clarion Energy, a number of leading events were taken this year and added to Asian Utility Week to form the first 5-in-1 Power & Energy Series. “Not only will participants benefit from knowledge sharing from different industries, but it also presents unrivalled business opportunities for key organisations within the field. This event plays a crucial role in bringing together leading power, energy and utility companies with innovative professionals, to drive the changing landscape and discover the future of the power and energy industry in Asia,” said Nick Rastall.
It is strongly supported by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MYCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC). MyCEB serves as a central hub to assist meeting and event planners to bid and stage international business events in Malaysia and act as a conduit for national product development to all local and international organisers. Business events are a catalyst for socio-economic growth and help to elevate the lives of the professional and local communities in Malaysia.
