Vintage Thai Cuisine @ Damansara Utama (Food Review)

If you are around Damansara Utama and craving for some pretty authentic Thai cuisine, you might want to check out Vintage Thai Cuisine. Located at No.21, Jalan SS 22/11 near KDU college, this Thai restaurant serves authentic Thai Cuisine refined to suit our Malaysian palate, however if you wish to have your dishes in the original way spicy and strong plus our food is made authentically by their Thai Chefs.

So let's check out what Vintage Thai Cuisine has to offer.

Homemade Thai Fish Cakes (RM18 / 6pcs)
100% pure tenggiri fish paste infused with homemade chili paste, long beans and fish slices. A good starter to begin with and this is easily one of my favorite dish here.

Northern Thai Papaya Salad (RM13)
Spicy green papaya salad northern style (Isan), topped with dried red chili and marinated raw Thai crab in special homemade sauce. If you prefer an authentic Northern Thai papaya salad and marinated raw Thai crab, then this is for you otherwise this could be too salty for your liking.

Stir Fried Paku (RM13 / small, RM19 / big)
Usually, it won't go wrong if you order this dish and the same goes to this restaurant as well. This paku veggie is stir fried in Thai belacan sauce or optional Thai oyster sauce. Good to eat this with a plate of warm white rice.

Super Moh Fai Talay (RM99)
Steamboat style pot filled with assorted seafood combination and soup of your choice- you my choose from Red Tom Yum, Clear Tom Yum, Coconut Tom Yum, Garlic Lime Chili Soup or Gaeng Som. This hearty pot of fish is delicious and not superbly spicy. The spiciness is just right for me and the ingredients were quite fresh and fragrant as well.

Signature Dancing Fish (Seabass - RM50, Tilapia - RM45, Red Snapper - RM85)
Deep fried fish to perfection topped with various ingredients and spices to elevate your taste bud. I can't stop eating this dish and the small bones were quite edible for those who dislike taking them out bit by bit.

Chicken Feet Salad "Yum Tin Kai" RM13
Chicken feet salad in chef special made sauce, sweet, sour, spicy and salty sauce. Interesting dish I must say, I have not tasted a chicken feet salad before but it's definitely a healthy choice and full of collagen.

Son-In-Law Eggs (RM12 / small, RM19 / big)
Interesting name for an interesting dish, it's the fried boiled egg served with Thai tamarind sauce and fried onions. Just lovely and suitable for adults and children too!

Coconut Ice Cream (RM12)
Premium coconut ice cream topped with fragrant coconut flakes and assorted toppings. The texture is unlike those normal coconut ice cream with rougher texture but I really did enjoy this very much.

Thai Red Rubies (RM6)
Last but not least, it's the Thai Red Rubies dessert. It's water chestnut served with honey jackfruit, crushed ice and coconut cream. Nothing to shout about but definitely a good dessert to end with.

Thai Green Tea Latte (RM6), Thai Lime Red Soda (RM6), Signature Coconut Shake (RM11) and Thai Milk Tea (RM6).

A full house at the restaurant during dinner hours.

  1. The red rubies looks so good! Not like what I had at that franchise place in Miri that day.
