A European-inspired cafe in the centre of Bukit Damansara called Limóne celebrated its opening on December last year by providing premium snacks and desserts. The cafe's highlight, a luscious lemon tree, enabled guests to enjoy an Italian summer while they dined there while specialising in handcrafted french desserts and a variety of healthful dishes.
The charming cafe is adorned in vibrant yellow and earthy green hues, drawing inspiration from the elegance of an Italian garden. The lemon tree leaves blow in the wind as the distinctive neon green Limóne signage hangs on a leafy wall. The setting is ideal for an Instagram photo.

Throughout the celebration, visitors were led on a gastronomic tour while sampling everything from traditional Christmas dishes to specialties from Limóne's everyday menu.The appetisers included smoked salmon with cream cheese, a crunchy crab taco, savoury choux with egg cream, and tuna mousse in a cone with ikura. Sweet guests indulged in the well-liked Tokyo Garden, a zesty and refreshing yuzu tart, miniature black forest rolls, ginger hazelnut, raspberry opera, strawberry tart, and the romarin, a lemon and rosemary butter cake.

Co-founder, Sherina Binwani shared how her passion for baking, which grew during the pandemic, inspired Limóne's conceptualisation. Under the guidance of her baking coach Chef Tee, Sherina launched a successful home-baking business known as Baked By Sher. “When orders began to skyrocket, we realised we had a solid market for our creations. The both of us have a deep love for food and pastries and we wished to share this love with others” says Sherina.

Guests were presented to a few pieces from Limone's Twelve Days of Christmas collection, which honours the well-known holiday song, at the premiere. The 12 delectable goodies, which include both sweet and savoury foods, including traditional holiday favourites with a modern twist as well as must-have Yuletide mainstays. In addition, guests were given a sneak preview of Limone's holiday menu, which has a tempting selection of Christmas cookies and cupcakes, log cakes, English fruit cake, mulled wine brownies, and variously shaped gingerbread cookies.

Limóne is located among the corporate offices at Plaza Zurich in Bukit Damansara and is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Tuesdays to Sundays. I wouldn't mind going back again for the dessert especially Tokyo Garden and perhaps I will try out some of their main dishes as well.
