Hey guys, I am back again with another food post and this time it's about one of Malaysian favourite chicken rice place – The Chicken Rice Shop. So in conjunction of their 23rd anniversary, they have recently announced the highly-anticipated return of Ayam Bakar Oh-Semm (ABOS) as a permanent menu item. If you are a fan of their Ayam Bakar Oh-Semm special menu last time, you'll definitely be happy with this news!

Ayam Bakar Oh-Semm is a culinary masterpiece that uses a delicious mixture of aromatic spices that are expertly cooked to provide a delectable flavour and alluring aroma. This legendary dish offers an amazing dining experience that will leave your taste buds yearning more when served with the distinctive "Ayam Bakar Oh-Semm Sauce."

As this is part of their permanent menu, diners can choose ala carte dishes from RM21.90 to RM69.90 or the set meal options starting from RM24.90 for 1 pax up to RM99.90 for 2 pax.

To wash down the delicious Ayam Bakar Oh-Semm, you can try out their special drink called Creamy Soya with zesty marmalade for only RM3.90 each when you order any of their Ayam Bakar Oh-Semm set meal. I enjoyed the taste of it and the taste brought back my childhood memory drinking a bubble tea back in Labuan many years ago.

Ayam Bakar Oh-Semm is now offered in three different sets to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences. These sets are ideal for both group and lone diners. This menu ensures that everyone will find a delicious and gratifying dinner option, whether they are dining with friends and family or looking for a rewarding single treat.

The Ayam Bakar Oh-Semm that I had is filled with nice smoky flavour and the meat was tender.

The sauce that came with the set was a little spicy, zesty and the sourness go very well with the sweetness from the chicken skin.

Aside from the chicken, rice, and soup of the day, the set which I ordered also came with a small plate of bak choy with oyster sauce that I enjoyed.
