Maggi Celebrates Malaysia, from Farm to Families, Proudly Made by Malaysians, for Malaysians

I attended the Maggi's 'Sah Malaysia!' event on the 6th of October which took place at Setia City Mall, Shah Alam. It is a celebration event by Maggi to appreciate the ‘air tangan’ of Malaysians who craft and savour the Malaysian taste.

MAGGI has played a vital role in Malaysians' lives for more than 50 years. Since 1969, enduring favourites like MAGGI 2-Minute Noodles and Chilli Sauce have assimilated into many families and played a crucial role in memorable good-food experiences. Due to the widespread love for MAGGI, the brand is found in 9 out of 10 households. This demonstrates how MAGGI has evolved into the preferred brand to convey affection and a particular touch via cooking—"Air tangan," the distinctive flavour infused into each and every dish.

Through the "air tangan" of Malaysians, MAGGI brought to life the very essence of "cita rasa" Malaysia during the festive occasion. Four enthusiastic cooks proudly displayed their "air tangan" by creating delectable dishes with a wide range of MAGGI products.

The classic pairing of Ayam Masak Merah and Nasi Tomato, which is artistically prepared with a healthy twist, and the transformation of a plain package of MAGGI Asam Laksa Noodles into an authentic Sabahan meal by adding jeruk tuhau are two of the highlights.

More than just the culinary equivalent of "air tangan," each MAGGI product is the result of the care and commitment of Malaysians. With two manufacturing facilities in Selangor and Sarawak, MAGGI is really created in Malaysia. These facilities are committed to bringing the regional flavour into Malaysian homes.

“We are so proud of all the many generations of Malaysians that have built MAGGI. From the dedicated Nestlé Chili Club farmers in the East Coast region, to our talented chefs, hardworking colleagues in factories, sales representatives, merchandisers and the entire commercial team, who represent the best of this ‘cita rasa’ Malaysia which we hold so dear to our hearts. This is how we are able to consistently deliver products that meet the high expectations of Malaysians with trust and love,” said Mr Juan Aranols, CEO of Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad.

In the spirit of celebration, MAGGI honoured some very committed coworkers who have toiled relentlessly for the brand. This includes growers of chiles like Noraini binti Ismail, who has spent the last 23 years upgrading her skills with innovative farming methods to guarantee that the soil is rich and produces top-quality chillies for MAGGI Chilli Sauce. The Factory Quality Assurance Manager, Mohd Khusaini Bin Awang, who for 27 years has made sure that the MAGGI 2-Minute Kari Noodles that Malaysians enjoy have the best quality and consistency in flavour, and many other moving tales.

“We are truly humbled to be a household name in Malaysia. MAGGI has created many warm and memorable moments for Malaysians across all walks of life, through products that deliver the distinctive taste we love. This very taste is the pride of the MAGGI brand as it is crafted by the ‘air tangan’ of Malaysians. They are the ones who lovingly prepare meals with their own personal touch, for which we deeply appreciate. Be it a simple MAGGI Kari telur pecah for a loved one or a festive Nasi Briyani Ayam that brings the family together, all while creating cherished memories. This is what makes MAGGI a truly Malaysian brand, made by Malaysians, for Malaysians,” added Ms. Ivy Tan, Business Executive Officer of MAGGI, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad.

Growing up in Malaysia, Maggi is definitely my staple brand to have at home all the time.

MAGGI is encouraging all Malaysians to submit their personal "Air Tangan" tales during this time of celebration by using the hashtag #MAGGIAirTanganKita and the @maggi.malaysia tag. This can take the form of a photo or video post showcasing a beloved dish or a memorable event involving any MAGGI products.
