I was invited to the first Selangor Travel Fair organized by Tourism Selangor which took place at Sunway Pyramid. This event was held from the 1st of November to 3rd of November 2024, served as the official prelude to Visit Selangor Year 2025 and is designed to showcase Selangor’s rich cultural heritage, tourism experiences and new attractions to both local and international travellers.
With Journify by Malaysia Aviation Group as a key partner, the fair has featured exclusive travel deals totaling over RM 200,000. This collaboration provides an enriched platform to highlight Selangor's vibrant tourism offerings and foster connections with both the public and industry professionals. Supported by Tourism Malaysia and MATTA, the event has gave a significant impact on the local tourism landscape.
Marking the pre-launch of the Visit Selangor Year 2025, the Selangor Travel Fair has unveiled the campaign logo and theme song, complemented by a live performance from popular Malaysian singer-songwriter Aizat Amdan for the official Visit Selangor Year 2025 song’s theme.
With the event drew over 20,000 attendees, this three-day event was attended by industry professionals, tourists and the public.
Yang Berhormat Dato' Ng Suee Lim, EXCO of Local Government and Tourism in a statement said, the Visit Selangor Year 2025 will be further enlivened with various interesting events and programs, with more than 100 events to be held in each district of the State of Selangor.

"With the full support of various government and private agencies, the State of Selangor will be able to shape the tourism industry in Malaysia and further achieve the targeted tourist arrivals of up to 8 million tourists in 2025 and reaching the tourism expenditure receipts target of RM 11.7 billion", he added.

Tourism Selangor has showcased over 20 tourism attractions at the event, with exclusive travel deals, discounts and packages that highlight Selangor's attractions for all types of travelers.
Visitors to the Selangor Travel Fair were also served with interactive activities like lucky draws, workshops and traditional performances. Featured operators include SplashMania Waterpark, Skyline Luge, Gamuda Land, Jumpstreet Asia Malaysia, Farm in the City, Eastin Hotel and more.
