Last month, I was at Element Kuala Lumpur for the festive celebration media preview. The celebration is called the Starlit Festive Celebration which took place at TRACE Restaurant & Bar on the 40th floor of the hotel.

TRACE is hosting the Festive Buffets every weekend throughout December 2024, giving you the flexibility to celebrate early with family and friends starting from December 1, 2024. Led by Executive Chef Taib Ridhwan and Senior Sous Chef Hasrul Hawari, TRACE’s culinary team has curated an exciting menu featuring contemporary twists on festive classics. Whether it’s a Festive Lunch or Dinner, expect a dazzling array of dishes, from an organic salad bar and seafood-on-ice to live grill specialties, local and Asian delights, and indulgent holiday desserts crafted exclusively for this season.
I had some of the food from the preview such as Baked Whole Salmon with Parmesan Cream Espellete, Slow Roasted Australia BBQ Beef Short Ribs, my top favourite Authentic Hyderabad Lamb Briyani with Raita & Chutney, chicken and beef satay, and many more.
It’s not exactly a Christmas feast without having some turkey, I had their Traditional Roasted Whole Turkey with Orange and Cranberry which was pretty tasty and the meat was tender.

For the Christmas and New Year Lunch and Dinner Buffets, TRACE enhances the celebration with a specially curated menu. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day feature a Traditional Roasted Whole Turkey with Orange and Cranberry as the show-stopping centerpiece, while New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day showcase an Oven-Roasted Whole Chicken with Orange and Cranberry. Additional premium offerings include the Australian BBQ Prime Rib, celebrated for its exceptional flavorful and tenderness.
Dinner highlights also include fresh oysters, blue swimmer crabs, mussels, and prawns from the seafood-on-ice station, as well as made-to-order Gua Bao from the live station. The festivities are further enhanced by exquisite desserts such as Duo Yule Log Cake, ice cream Teppanyaki, and custom-made crêpes, all crafted to create a memorable holiday dining experience.
