Smiles and laughter can be heard and seen as 90 children from three welfare homes were invited to Lotuss Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Lotus’s Malaysia) Pawsome Christmas Playdate in Kepong. The children from Karunai Illam (Kepong), Sweet Home Care (Cheras) and Good Samaritan Home (Klang) were welcomed by Lotus’s volunteers, media members and their children.
The event focused to bring cheer to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to celebrate the festivities. The Lotus’s Pawsome Christmas #KitakanJiran event promises an unforgettable day filled with Paw Patrol themed activities, games, treats and even a Paw Patrol movie screening at GSC Kepong. The children had the opportunity to take part in numerous games, design their own Paw Patrol masks, play in a giant inflatable ball pit, enjoy a visit from Santa Clause and a meet up with Paw Patrol’s own Chase and Marshall mascots.
“We’re thrilled to bring the children together in such a meaningful way this holiday season. The holidays are a time for joy, and through this event we are able to extend the joy to children who may not otherwise have a large Christmas celebration or experience an outing to the cinema. Our #KitakanJiran festive events continue to foster the spirit of giving and inclusivity, and we’re grateful for the support given by our Lotus’s volunteers and retail partners who have come together for this cause”, said Azliza Azmel, Corporate Services Executive Director of Lotus’s Malaysia
In addition to the fun activities at the 400 square feet Howl for the Holiday play area in Lotus’s Kepong, the children were also treated to a sponsored lunch from Burger King, and went home with a bagful of goodies from Lotus’s, Paw Patrol, Cosway Malaysia and IT Hypermarket.
“It’s wonderful to be able to work with Intellectual Property (IP) brands, like PAW Patrol for Christmas, and I’m certain today will always remain special for these children. We have invited some of our retail partners to join in the celebration and help spread the holiday cheer, while learning more about the impact in supporting disadvantaged communities”, said Melissa Wong, Head of Malls of Lotus’s Malaysia.
The Howl for the Holidays activities will continue until 1 January 2024 at Lotus’s Kepong, Puchong and Tanjung Pinang. Customers who are interested with the workshops may visit the retailers’ official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LotussMalaysia.
