Nowadays, air purifier plays an important roles in every household to provide a better air quality with the current risen air pollution. It also useful for those who have furry pets at home or those staying close to the main roads or highways like myself. Dust and tiny particles can easily travel into our homes and this could be an issue especially those with respiratory problems.

PRISM+, which is a Singapore-based consumer electronics brand had launch its air purifier last year which is called the PRISM+ Aura. This air purifier has a couple of useful smart features which I will explain later and a 3-layer advanced filtration.

Let's talk about the filter. The first layer is the Pre-Filter that captures larger particles such as hair, dust, lint and pet dander, preventing the accumulation of dirt in our home. The second one is the Medical-grade HEPA H13, eliminates airborne contaminants, bacteria, viruses, and even allergens such as dust mites and pollen to ensure fresher air. The final one is the Activated Carbon that neutralises airborne pollutants that may cause unpleasant odours. It also absorbs formaldehyde, a carcinogen found in some flooring, wall paints, and furniture.

It comes in two colour options, Alpine White and Space Grey but I chose the latter since it matches my home interior better. When I placed the PRISM+ Aura in my bedroom, I hardly notice the noise from it. It only makes a loud noise at the beginning for a few seconds and then the noise down to barely noticeable at all. I have no trouble sleeping with it turned on the entire night thanks to its DC brushless motor.

After using it for a couple of days, I noticed that my bedroom felt less stuffy and the air smells better too especially the odour from my cats' litter box that seeps into the bedroom. Aside from that, I found that the PRISM+ Connect App is very easy to set up and I like some of the smart features such as:-

Routines: Automate the air purifier based on specific timings or air quality levels, ensuring your living areas always maintain optimal freshness. I like this the most as I can set the time when to turn on and off the PRISM+ Aura and also to toggle the night mode.
Insights: Utilize infrared sensors to monitor air quality and study detailed insights for a healthier home environment.
Clone Setting: Pair the purifier to one smartphone and easily share the settings with other household members, simplifying the setup process for all PRISM+ smart home appliances.
Overall, I like the design, the low fan noise and also the colour options. I personally would recommend this for those who are looking for an air purifier which is quiet, sleek design and easy to operate. If there's one thing that I would nitpick, I wish the power cable would be longer.
The launch price for this product was RM429 for Alpine White and RM449 for Space but now you can grab them for RM379 and RM399 respectively from PRISM+ website here. You can also get the filter replacement for RM99 or RM249 for a bundle of three.
