Not long ago, I was invited by Jameson to check out their Cheers & Cheer Christmas Party campaign in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur. Throughout the month of December, Jameson is setting the tone for the season with the Cheers & Cheer Christmas Party festive circuit which a programme shaped by the warm, welcoming spirit that defines Must Be A Jameson. The circuit connects the Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor through a month of music, markets, coffee raves, and nights out shared among friends old and new.
Jameson Christmas Tree at Kwai Chai Hong
If you're visiting Kwai Chai Hong in Chinatown KL, you'll be able to spot the Jameson Christmas Tree at Kwai Chai Hong. There's also another festive tree tucked into the alleyway by drafted near Hin Bus Depot in Penang — and mini Jameson trees hidden across participating bars for those who enjoy the small, nostalgic thrill of spotting Christmas lights in unexpected places.
Alongside the bar experiences, Jameson’s Cheers & Cheer Christmas Party will host a series of festive parties nationwide — beginning in Johor on 19 Dec, followed by Kuala Lumpur on 20 Dec and Penang on Christmas Day. Each stop carries its own rhythm and the same warm spirit that brings people together at this time of year.

Jameson’s Cheers & Cheer All Day in Chinatown, KL
On 20 Dec, the celebration unfolds around Kwai Chai Hong with a full-day programme that blends community, culture, and nightlife. From 12PM to 6PM, a curated preloved market brings together streetwear, luxury and vintage pieces, CDs, records, and sneakers, alongside a coffee rave driven by DJs Mdm Woo, Saucie J, Julia Deychuk, Kvn Kelvin, and Viene, offering an easy mix of house music, ranging from disco house, tech house as well as afro house. Seasonal serves such as the Jameson Irish Coffee bring warmth to the afternoon crowd.
From 9PM onwards, the area shifts into a multi-venue nightlife circuit featuring Vanns Ngo, X.U. & Kent, MyllerFox, Gasing, Ethan Chu, Sam Wong, and Chaseylain & Ribut, spanning electronic, melodic-house, future beats, hip hop, and open-format sets.

My favourite is the Gingerbread Sour from Concubine although it's quite hard for me to decide since I personally enjoyed most of the cocktails!
Jameson’s Cheers & Cheer After Dark in Johor
On 19 Dec, the celebrations continue in Johor with a Christmas party led by live band Noyee & The Star and supported by a month-long festive cocktail menu. The night promises easy sociability and the familiar togetherness shared across the Jameson family.
Jameson’s Cheers & Cheer All Day in Penang
On 25 Dec, Penang hosts its own festive circuit across Backdoor Bodega, No Bar Here, Good Friends Club, and Batu Cafe. The evening features DJs and live acts like Jeantonic, Kim, Yin, Sheryn, and Jaelyn across disco, house, Afro-house, and deep-house styles.
Batu Cafe extends the celebration into the day with a preloved market, coffee rave, and Jameson Irish Coffee from 12PM to 6PM, followed by a Christmas party featuring Skipper and a night DJ lineup. The mood stays warm, social, and distinctly Penang — characterful, easy, and perfect for Christmas night.
Three Charred & Crafted Christmas Menus in Penang
Penang will also feature a trio of Jameson Black Barrel Christmas menus from 26 Nov to 26 Dec, adding a rich, charred, and crafted twist to the season. Firewood offers a Smoke Old Fashion (RM598++) paired with Australia Full Blood Stone Axe Wagyu Sirloin 300g, along with a Firewood Irish Coffee (RM90++) created as a Jameson Black Barrel tiramisu.
At Lucky Hole, the menu highlights a Spring Chicken with Charred Greens, Baby Corn, and Whiskey Soy Sauce (RM88++), rounded off by a 70% Valrhona Dark Chocolate Brownie with eggnog and black cherry (RM22++).
Rembar brings its own take on festive comfort with a Three Cup Frog (RM68++), a modern riff on “three cup chicken” using Jameson Black Barrel, rice vinegar, and sesame oil, alongside a Banana Sour (RM48++) made with Jameson Black Barrel infused with banana, Oloroso sherry, walnut liqueur, pineapple, lemon, and chocolate bitters. Together, these menus extend the Jameson Christmas experience beyond nightlife into flavour, craft, and shared holiday rituals unique to Penang.
Discover the Festive Circuit: The Jameson Digital Passport
To encourage exploration, every outlet nationwide will feature a QR code leading to a digital passport. Guests complete seven festive tasks — one for each letter in J-A-M-E-S-O-N — to unlock rewards designed to keep the season playful and memorable.
Festive bonuses along the journey include a Jameson Ginger Lime and a selection of Jameson merchandise, which can be claimed as you complete tasks at participating bars. Those who finish the full passport will also enter a giveaway featuring ten RM10 Touch ‘N Go reload pins as consolation prizes and three Apple Watch SE units as the grand prize.
